Someone needs to make a licensed "V For Vendetta" figure

The mask is now going for $850-$900 on ebay, $150 for a the statue seems cheap now. Do you think thios will be the only figure of this size released?

Not sure. I think it's a missed opportunity if no one makes a 1/6 scaled figure.

Sure, the theatrical and DVD release of the film has come and gone but surely the V character is as viable a candidate for a figure as many of the others on the market right now.

And I am still kicking myself for not getting the DC Direct replica mask (for LESS than it's retail price) when I had the chance. :monkey2

Remember, remember the fifth of November. The gunpowder, treason, and plot.
I can think of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot!

Glad I'm not the only one who loves this movie.

I'd like a 1/6 figure too. That'd be cool. Whose going to go through the trouble to produce ONE quality figure? Too much trouble negotiating, producing, the cost of the licence etc, for a limited run. The time has been missed, in any case.

Unfortunately, I think you hit the nail on the head for this one. Maybe that's why Neca's is $150.

True....One figure is not worth the licence fee.Although I would like to own one.

I truly doubt the "V For Vendetta" license would relatively be that costly... specifcally FOR the reasons you just stated.

True, but the production of a figure can take 9 to 12 months to hit, so.....the momentum is lost.

I agree there. Someone should have had the foresight enough to have more "V For Vendetta" merchandise on the market when the film and DVD hit. Heck, even the official behind-the-scenes tie-in book is still not even out yet.

However, that doesn't mean that this is not a viable product opportunity. SHAUN OF THE DEAD, BUBBA HO TEP and many others are just now seeing toys released. And when was the last time we had a new ROBOCOP film?

Sure, someone should have had a figure out by now (and it would have sold well) but the boat is not completely missed. There is still enough of a market out there for this character.

This coming from a Krusader! I wonder how loyal you really are. I hope the King never reads that comment.

Again I agree. There will always be a market for this figure. Maybe the companies that make figures are just waiting till the price of the license comes down to make it worthwhile. We can only hope Sideshow might take it up at some time.

The Highlander line is an existing line with several figures produced.

Hahaha Batty, how are ya? Not Krusading in the amongst the mortals at this point. Have been pushing it somewhat. I'm just happy the Krusaders have their own turf, and Dave has allowed us to indulge ourselves. I hope Dave PM's me if I have. We do get carried away, and I wouldn't want Dave to supply the knock out punch. :slap :medic

Cheers. :)

:lol :lol.....I feel as though we are 2 serperate people....Our Krusader large font useing selves and then the normal small font useing, rational(??) thinking self. Its funny, but we have to draw the line somewere. Sometimes its hard to know when to Krusade and when not to. I have a hell of a time knowing the difference myself:D

True King... just because we are bloodthirsty Krusaders doesn't mean we don't like other collectbles. Although my bank account would be much happier if it did!

I have a feeling that we will eventually get a decent 1/6 V figure... it might be a few years, but it seems just about all the cool properties eventually get imortalized in plastic. I could see this being something Medicom could tackle quite well... he'd just be too short :D But that's still better than DC's beefy figures :lol

I would love to see Hot Toys do a V figure. They've done great figures for two other DC characters.
