Seeing Batty's Yoda egg gave me the biggest laugh I have had in literally years. I have to thank Rory for that. I laughed so hard I cried.

To be serious for a moment -

I've always thought that it was a good reference to be able to go back and search old posts. It's a great way for new members to get to know the board.

But if necroposting becomes a problem, bumping recent threads from the front page and such, then we'll just lock a thread after no posts for a month and delete it after 6 months. I'd rather not have to do this, but this crap is getting really old.

I think this was an isolated incident by someone who was bored. Rory's a good guy but was going nuts with it today. I think it's a good idea to maybe lock a thread about a year afterwards, not deleting them though.

Sorry Dave, even though I didn't start any of the threads, I took enjoyment in their antics. You work diligently at making certain this place is of the utmost quality for its posters, and we do something foolish like this.

The intentions weren't to put you out, although ignorance played a factor because it did regardless. I think it was done merely out of boredom and because the forum members wanted to have some fun. We have a great community here. Sometimes the enjoyment of playing around with fellow friendly board members gets out of hand.

Sorry Dave I was guilty as well then. I didn't know that was such a serious offence. I will bump or necropost no longer unless it is worth a bump or a necropost. By that I mean on topic with the thread. Well I am going to go back to being a sheep and drinking fluoride.
