The ironic thing is, with all the horrible things that have gone on in prison, you'd think that would be an excellent deterrent to stop breaking the law. . . but that wouldn't make for a very entertaining show

For a second there I thought she was faking the pregnancy, but with all the stuff in the hospital bed, and the doctor examining her. . . it seems like it was legit.

No, I saw that part. That's what made me think it was fake. But at the end the doctor used the stethoscope to examine her. I'd imagine the doctor would be like "Um, there's no baby in there". I guess it was just "convenient" editing. But, it's not like Tara would tell the doctor that she was pregnant, so he wouldn't be looking for anything, just see a big bruise on her stomach. All the rigamarole in the hospital just threw me. Tara jumped through a lot of hoops to make this plan work.
Oh well, eventually Jax will find out that Tara was never pregnant. THAT will certainly be fun to watch.

Tara has enough friends on the hospital staff to sell the story. Doctor was in on it. Tara really has become Gemma. It was maestro stuff.
Venus storyline was way more f'ed up than I expected.

The doctor was listening for a heartbeat probably. No heartbeat = dead baby. After that the doctor couldnt do much for her. She would just pass the dead baby naturally.
