Really bad writing! Horrible first episode, Juice should have died a long time ago! Terrible music also, this show has the potential to play some great music but they filter it with crap! Just an all around bad ending to a decent show. This show was so much better when it wasn't trying to shock people and be different it was already interesting enough, no need to try and complicate things, its just a mess now.

Decent? Except for a single episode last season that felt like oldschool SoA, it really hasn't been decent since the Columbians magically turned into CIA agents. :lol

Too many good show don't know when to quit. Dexter was another one.

Really not a fan of Jax pulling a 180 on everything he's been working toward the last few years.

Seems rather out of character for Bobby to not pull Jax aside and say "You know Tara would be utterly disappointed in you for this, right?"

Only reason he wanted all that candy coated BS was because of Tara. So with her out of the picture it's business as usual. And thankfully so.. because dude was turning himself into a snitch and his outlaw MC into a bunch of broke, lame ***** that were one step above weekend warrior bikers.

Not sure if serious..........lol

First time in a long time I literally groaned watching a television show. That was some of the worst writing in recent memory. It was clear that with FX picking up a few more seasons, Sutter was ****ed and took the easy way out of what should've been a good plot, by making them suddenly discover where the Sons were to save the day and then revealed themselves as CIA agents to the outlaw biker gang. :cuckoo:

yeah that was a horrible plot twist. everyone and their dogs were ready for some **** to happen and then.........poof nothing...lol it was laughable

IDK, if there's one thing that man loves more then Jax, it's a big ol' vibrating bike in between his legs.

Did Bobby even have a line this ep? :lol

I liked the opener. Was it great? No. But we all know this is going to get really bloody and messy so you can't put everything into one ep.

I also watched they first few minutes of the aftershow. Hunnam was saying that Jax has always been trying to walk the line between family man and outlaw, yet they're really mutually exclusive in the end. The death of Tara has now freed him from the burden of trying to balance those 2 lives. So he can now go full throttle in the outlaw direction.

And Sutter was saying that a lot of it is the battle against ones own nature: Jax by nature is an outlaw. He kept trying to balance that with family. When you go against nature, bad things happen. Same with John Teller's efforts.

And I thought Manson was surprisingly good and creepy. And not 2001 Manson creepy. He looks the part totally. Can't wait to see more of him.

finally got around to watching this episode, while not the greatest, they certainly are doing a good job to make people hate Jemma more.
She so needs to live at the end and have nothing to live for......

I can't decide if I don't like the writing or I don't like the decisions the characters are making.

Why frame Indian Hills/Jury for hitting Lin's guys? They're patched into SOA, that's like turning on your own guys. And Bobby and Chibs are okay with that?

I thought that was dumb as well, but from the episode what seemed like father and son at the end, just seemed like acquaintances when introduced to Jax. That aside, it was still stupid to dump the drugs and guns on the boys. They're ******** in their own backyard. :cuckoo:

I'm still confused about how Gemma thinks it's safer for the boys to start a war with the Chinese over Tara's death, vs. blame someone else.

Looks like Sutter is more concerned with topping the red wedding then writing a plausible series final season

Another discussion I was reading pointed out that maybe Gemma suggested that Lin killed Tara as revenge for SAMCRO killing Lin's uncle. Which is not really accurate, but who cares at this point, right?? Jax just needs to be pointed at something.

Also, I noticed the sheriff's department seems to not be too upset that Roosevelt was killed as well. It seems like there would be a lot more pressure on all the gangs after a sheriff is killed.

There's an easy explanation for everything. The showrunner is obviously totally lost and the writing sucks. It's painfully obvious that they can't end this on a creative high, so they're just going for all out senseless violence and mayhem.

Yup and Yup. A shame really. I would've liked to have seen what Sutter had in mind before FX optioned an extra 2 seasons and how close it would have been to Hamlet originally. He admitted on the Talking Dead ripoff aftershow that Hamlet was out the window now. A bummer. We can tell. :lol

It still makes me laugh how comically bad it was to make the Columbians insta-CIA agents and how the Irish suddenly needed Clay alive or they wouldn't do any deals with the Sons, even though now that he's dead, they're doing deals with everybody. Soooooooooo glad it's almost over. :lol

They sidelined Clay all of last year just to kill him off. Jax has let go of his integrity since someone killed the woman who was leaving him anyway and also selling him out to the Feds.

This whole season will be a "when will he find out what Gemma did?" tease... and thanks to FX's advertising I'm sure we will know long before that happens.

The show is still watchable IMO but man am I glad this is the last season. They should have ended a season or even 2 seasons ago. The whole Hamlet thing was cool and if they are abandoning it that is too bad. Jax is not likable to me anymore and I don't have much care for him. Even Bobby going along with some of the violence seems out of character for him... In the end, I hope most of the gang bites the dust and that Gemma is left alone. Living alone without her family is a far better punishment than getting killed.

Jax character has been a real roller coaster, he wants out, he wants in, I really don't see him surviving the season. As for Sutter shock value, I wouldn't
be surprised if he has Jax kill Gemma.
