In the past Dave has allowed threads from a left point of view and even made his own left leaning statements, but once the conservative view came into play the threads were deleted.

And usually that is because religion and anti gay statements and other topics are brought in that are not acceptable. If everyone could just stick to the thread topic there would be no problem and we could have a respectful and mature discussion.

In reality splitting California would be a huge problem...
It might solve a lot of the budget issues, but it would create a legal and jurisdiction nightmare...

I think not.

Mexican Americans support Mexican immigrants because they share a nationality and often share the same family tree. Not because they believe in some "every human is equally entitled to this wonderful country" bs.

I hate seeing this board turn against each other with hateful remarks - so truthfully, it's much easier for ME to close it down and not have read all this b.s. But I'll keep it open for now in hopes that there may actually be a discussion.

The splitting of the state works as long as you split it in a way that cuts down beuracracy, eliminates entitlement programs, and makes things more efficient.

If you don't do that then all it is doing is cutting off the cancerous parts of the state to have them fend for themselves, which in the end the Danny Devito half of the Twin states will end up needing massive Federal intervention to save it anyway.
