To be fair, he didn't say DAD was better than Spectre.
He seems to have felt the same way about the movie that I did. I'm still not convinced that Craig still wants anything to do with the series, besides his contractual obligation. Maybe that will change.
Christ I forgot how bad that was. Did his other films have anything close to the absurdity of that?

Not really. My friends and I always called this one "Pierce Brosnan's Moonraker" because it was just so clownshoes. Except Moonraker at least did stunts and not CG foolishness. That opening skydiving sequence is still one of my favorites.

I don't think Pierce Brown is the best judge of quality Bond filmmaking.
But it's pretty clear Spectre has divided followers. I loved it but I do think it had some flaws. Yet, I can rewatch it over and over like CR and Skyfall.
I do have a question though. What was up with the drill in the head scene? Why was Bond still able to recognize everyone? Did Waltz not do it correctly or does such a psychological attack not work on the great James Bond?
Was this the first Bond movie that really played up the assassin label rather than spy angle?

It exploited assassin far more.
As for the torture, Blofeld said if done right. Either he missed it, or Bond tends to hold on to his emotions and can recall em, or from the shot; it seemed like he moved a bit beforehand. Hard to say really.

I don't think Brosnan is incorrect in his assessment.... despite the fact I don't care for him as Bond or his movies.

While one should never pass up the opportunity to make fun of DAD surfing scene I will also agree that Spectre has some serious villain flaws.

Madonna, I think.
I really didn't care for Craig's demeanor as Bond in Spectre. He just kind of mopes around with a long face and then occasionally kicks ass. Reminds me too much of Stallone in the ridiculous "The Professional." And this is two movies in a row now that he has taken sexual advantage of an abused/terrified woman.

He's under contract for one more, but he gave an interview after filming where he said he'd rather slash his wrists than do it again. He may have been joking or it might've been taken out of context, but he may have meant it (about not being Bond, I don't think he's really slashing his wrists). In the same interview he said if he came back, it would only be for the money.

And he said it with such tact. Not that I care one way or another how an actor says their opinion. Moore doesn't care for Craig or his films. Have Connery and/or Dalton given their opinions on Craig or his tenure yet? Connery probably doesn't give a flying eff (doesn't he have Alzheimer's?) but I'd be curious what Dalton thought considering those two are the coldest and most ruthless versions of Bond on film.
EDIT - My apologies to Moore. While seeing if Connery or Dalton had anything to say, I saw an article starting Moore was praising Craig. My bad. Was it Lazenby that was bashing him? Lol. Or Adam West/Burt Ward bashing Christian Bale? Help me out here, guys.

Yeah, Moore was on my local news lately praising Craig, he called him the best bond.
I'm gonna have to give Daltons films a whirl this weekend, I've seen them many many years ago, so I don't really remember anything about them. I'm liking the talk of how they are a colder bond. I'm intrigued.
