JC Hong announced in an interview that he's working on a new Wolverine figure that will be released next year!

Better in a clean thread anyway. That other one is chock full of talk about bootlegs of the original Wolverine figure.

Re: Hot Toys X-Men Wolverine (New Version)

Just merge this with the Joker 2.0 Dzzzzzzz thread.

Re: Hot Toys X-Men Wolverine (New Version)

I'm sure they will do another Wolverine, but it'd be nice if they did the 748293149028134 and one things they have announced over the last 2+ yrs first :lol

:exactly: but I doubt that he said it just so... Nothing ever was said by HT's artist for no reason.

Just like how HT's artists said they would love to do BTTF DX and Anakin Skywalker and Michael Corleone and. . .

:slap

You guys need to stop making misleading threads of speculation!

If you don't have pics, don't make! Or at least say it's speculative.

:exactly: I expected the official announcement or preview pic. The speculation based on the FB comment already discussed in a separate thread.

Agreed. Just like they should do all those things before producing their 1,500th Batman- or Joker-related figure :monkey3 :D

I think they need a break from Batman, so they can come back and do the bat figures better :D
Exactly :lol

Wolverine is probably Marvel's most popular character. We've had, what, 5 different Hot Toys Batmen already, only based off of 2 suits. We've got one more coming ('89) and no doubt at least one more Dark Knight suit for Rises (I'm guessing we'll get 2 or 3 Batmen from that movie alone). Doesn't Wolverine deserve another figure, soon, with a more accurate sculpt and representing another of his film incarnations? From a Marvel fan, I can answer unequivocally--yes. Even before we get some other characters that have been announced but not yet made.

Speaking of Wolverine, is there any news on filming the sequel? I know it was put on hold with what happened in Japan last year but I've love a Frank Miller looking Samurai Wolverine.

You'll take those words back when they'll release all this stuff... In five years or so :lol

Nope.
The last thing I remember - Aronofsky left the project.

Wolverine is probably Marvel's most popular character.

This is amazingly arguable. I would say hands down that title still belongs to Spider-Man.

But I would bet my savings that Hot Toys will do another Wolverine for the next Wolverine movie, if nothing else.

More than that, people seem to forget that HT announced the original X-Men Trilogy back when they announced the Spider-Man and Blade trilogies. I guarantee you you'll see a Wolverine from every X-Men film, most likely a BD version from X3 which seems to be right up HT's alley and of course something from the new film if that actually ever gets off of the ground.

Collectors are in for at least four Wolverines without question the real wonder is when? HT has overannounced themselves going back almost two years with collectors still waiting on product. They can't help themselves from grabbing "in the now" licenses so the bottlenecking is outstanding.
