I'm not feeling any hype at all for TROS....zero. At first glance Disney have potentially shot themselves in the foot here by having the Mandalorian right in front of TROS.
Clearly the marketing is focused on The Mandalorian now. But no doubt they are waiting for it to release, then quickly ramp up the TROS marketing machine.
But what I really think is going on here is that people will be excited by The Mandalorian and then be hyped for Star Wars, forget TLJ, and go see TROS.
I think that is Disney's gameplan, which isn't a bad strategy.
No doubt this is what they will do in the future too. Disney plans to use the larger TV audience (and presumably newly created Star Wars fans) to go see the movies leading to more box-office.
It's pretty smart I think. Assuming The Mandalorian is good. There's a lot riding on it.
