Spiderman Far From Hulk
It all started with Jim Carrey's Riddler.
Reviews are starting to roll in. I don't want to surprise anyone, but it appears that this one also doesn't suck.
I agree and smart for Marvel to use Spiderman as the immediate epilogue to EG and I can now easily walk away from the MCU for the first time in 11 years since Fury said those words to Stark in the IM1 post credits scene.
Yeah, and think everyone from critics to the 'net in general agrees - after the scale of EG, it's natural to ratchet back. And welcome. I picture it as the survivors having to pick up their lives, one way or the other. From Spidey and also the the TV series - depending on who they are.
Loki of course could bounce from time era to time era, but bein' an Asgardian etc. probably is less fazed by it all. Wanda, Bucky, Falcon etc. need to regroup. E.g. having some down time IMO is a smart move on Marvel's part.
Honestly I wish they had kept it clean, so to speak, and just released Spidey without re-releasing EG, which to me comes off as pretty lame. Plus I know the theaters 'round me aren't gonna give a re-release premium treatment like Spidey will get. Re-releases are put into the smaller theaters off to the side, if the theater even bothers to show it.[/QUOTE
Well said.
I have to give it to Tom Holland the kid went from filming scenes for FFH then on the same day filmed scenes for IW and the very next morning EG then straight back to IW then FFH!
That's nuts.
I will definitely be there opening night for FFH, but I'm comfortable with leaving the MCU after that.
EG was just so satisfying that I almost feel like it's required to end it all there, lol.
Once you see wolverine in costume pop his claws and beat the hulk
I agree there's no escaping that lol
