This is what you get with greed. If Disney really cared about Spidey they would've kept the original deal. Know your boundaries.
Nope, money is everything. Good on Sony for taking a stand. I've seen everything I thought was never possible.
MCU Spidey had some great moments. The only thing I want now is a good Spidey/Venom movie. I went in expecting it to be terrible, but it was not bad. 7,5 out of 10. As a kid, the idea of Venom always excited me. And they portrayed the relationship between Venom and Eddy perfectly. Venom also looks very, very good. I would even say he looks almost perfect.
They have Venom down to the T. We got the origin story. Now they have this great potential to give us a great movie. Interested to see how they will introduce these two. Will it happen in Venom 2 or Spidey 3? So much potential.

Yeah Feige just made it official:

"I'm feeling about Spider-Man gratitude and joy,? Feige said, speaking at D23?s Entertainment Weekly booth. ?We got to make five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two standalone films and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we?d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I?ll always be thankful for that.?

Bull ****ing ****.

Scorpion cliffhanger, identity reveal cliffhanger, next face of MCU build up.

?We told the story we wanted to tell?

Bull ****ing ****

So what if there's cliffhangers. Spidey always has new troubles on the horizon. It's not like we were going to see a movie where he dies permanently or retires to Italy, lol.

Please. Sony is just as greedy if not more

Not like this. :lol

He's wanted for murder, the whole world knows who he is and the criminal underworld wants to kill him and his family.

Oh and Mysterio to the general public is going to go down in history as the GREATEST superhero of all time!

Actually, I couldn't think of a more fitting ending. JJJ getting the last laugh and MCU Spider-Man saying "WTF" before the whole world cuts to black. :lol

Spiderman vs Venom is about as exciting as Batman vs Superman or Godzilla vs Kong.

All those characters mentioned are not allowed to be real villains so yawn!

Spiderman vs Venom....

ZzzzzZzzzz

MCU Spider-Man had two deaths. He got dusted in IW only to get resurrected and then cashed out at the end of FFH.

He should be included in that stupid Whitney Houston I Will Always Love You tribute montage of the dead Avengers.

:lol :lol

Yeah I'm fine with the MCU ending with Steve and Peggy's dance.

EG was even Stan Lee's final appearance so it's got that too.

Can’t wait to see you eating your words after you go and see Black Widow next year...

and Shing-Chang...

and plaque Banter 2

and Thor love and blunder....

And the inevitable Speeder-men returning home

How would I be eating my words? I've always contended that either EG or SMFFH would be the end of what I see as the true MCU and that was when I assumed that Spidey would continue in the MCU. Him leaving doesn't change anything for me.

I'll be watching lots of new movies that won't be in the MCU, whether it be the new John Wick, Top Gun, Joker, Black Widow, Eternals, etc., lol. They're all one and the same with regard to they connect to the IS from here on out even if they're well made in and of themselves.

See I wasn't necessarily planning on drawing a line under the MCU. I wasn't gonna suddenly just stop watching the films and as long as I'm coming to this forum I'll wanna talk about films. So, though not tremendously excited about it, I was open to Phase Four despite the fact that the most well known heroes are now dead, retired or no longer in their iconic prime.

This throws a spanner in the works though. It creates a very sudden and unexpected void, a void which they possibly aren't even allowed to acknowledge let alone provide an acceptable explanation for in-universe. It'll be jarring. I will notice.

I dunno. Seems unlikely but maybe Sony will yet make some sort of concession to allow closure within the MCU and/or maybe the studios will make films such that the 2 Universes could be reconciled in the heads of fans if we want them to be - i.e nothing will explicitly contradict what the other has done, timeframes of events could theoretically fit etc etc. I doubt it though, there'd just be too many variables for this to happen by coincidence.

Anyway I'm off to sleep.

While Spiderman?s removal won?t have a huge impact right now it will eventually.

But i?m not kidding when I say that I will absolutely not go see any new Sony Spiderman movie.

Dark Phoenix all over again.
