Like cigarettes and vape.

But Disney starts much earlier than that. They have tons of studies about what kids 3-7 like in animation: what colors are heroic colors and what colors are for villains.
Kids are are addicted to Tiktok/Youtube where you can consume stupid antics and various other media in clips of 10 seconds. I've discovered that women's vanity knows no bounds and they like to show off on dance moves to rap music. Linked to FB and it is just an endless time sink.

Anyway after the glory that was sonic 2020 I will gladly say I will be back in the theater to see this movie. It’s been almost two years since I’ve seen a movie theater but the only one that can make me return is Spider-Man

Same here. Nothing needed to go to the theater for until this one. This is really an epic movie and hope it meets huge heights as a movie near (or at?) the top of the MCU.

Charlie Cox doing a lot of press lately. Sure don't look like he is handling those NWH rumors very well. Lots of stuttering and long, drawn out answers. No prep for obvious incoming questions? Lol.

Being "scanned" by a poor imitation of Egon.

I'm not a violent man by nature, but I don't think I'd be able to resist the urge to slap that PKE meter right outta the hand of the first nerd that pulls that on me.

Women in general are terrible.
We're (dudes) not exactly a walk in the park  ... people are universally disappointing creatures.

I think young women are often more together than young men up to the age of 25 or so, but many are (comparably) pretty much disastrous in their early-to-mid 30s.

I love women aged 40 and up -- by then you see who they really are and they can be much more interesting. Social media distorts vulnerable personalities and many young people are more vulnerable by definition thanks to lack of life experience and perspective.

Some people never recover from that. In terms of dating Red Flag No. 1 is a social media account saturated in in selfies.

Everyone hates @ironwez20 's ex though. What a piece of work. :lecture

He's not wrong about the scripts, especially lately. Joaquin is turning very one-note so no, I don't think he can "do anything" -- I mean, when has he had the opportunity to do anything different then his usual schtick, which yes, he's very, very good at.

I started to watch Shang Chi last night on Disney+ and I'll finish it ... but wow, what a letdown so far.

  • Some of the martial arts choreography is well done and enjoyable, but so far it lacks stakes and danger.
  • The opening sequence is dull. The music, the action, the cinematography ...
  • The effects look low-budget. It reminds me of the Disney films from the '60s with flat backdrops, much as @Wor-Gar said.
  • The script is more or less trash-for-children.
  • The MCU has been fully Disney-fied and poorer for it. I didn't want to believe it was all over after Endgame but as of right now, I have to join the naysayers.
Nay, I say.

At this point it'd be more newsworthy if one of these elder statesmen directors came out and said they loved Marvel movies.
That's true. Is there even one? Not Nolan, he wanted to "fix" them.
And yet he couldn't be bothered to "fix" TDKR before it was released. People in glass houses...:slap
