This is exactly what I dont understand about people who are ignorant to Medicom. So they screwed up on Jedi Luke, but that ONE figure is not even the tip of the iceburg in terms of the different types of product and lines that they make.

Jedi Luke will continue to be a thorn in the side of Medi until they release another human SW character. Anyone who follows Medi knows that, that particular piece is just a faux pas.

any idea if movie venom is supposed to have the hexagon pattern as well?

According to the early "leaked" pics of Venom the actual costuming is exactly the same as the Spidey Costuming only with the large White Spider on it as seen in the Comics...

looks like they're using this material for SPAWN too. I think it won't hinder the articulation too much. My Snake has the same type of material (or close) and it moves better then I ever expected...It's the same type of pleather/vinyl on the Storm troopers...or maybe not I can't be too sure.


I would only get this if it comes with an alternate Parker/Tobey headsculpt...

Well i'm not expecting comic spiderman articulation but i'm not worried.I'm just wondering if thats a proto fig, cause it looks so well done.(and i can't see medicom screwin up the web color unless it's on purpose)

I like the shape of the figure, but I’m still not sure at all about what we have seen, especially with the classic suit.
The suit’s material is a bit glossy to me; I really prefer a flat texture which makes the figure much more realistic and far away to compare it with a “Toy”. Also I hope that this is a not finished prototype because I don’t really want the black web colour (we just got the comic version). The Black suit seems to be much more accurate. I trust in Medicom job. I hope they won’t disappoint me with those details (important details to me). I’ll just wait.

my concern would be the lasting of the suits, i dont want to spend money on something that the symbol will end up cracking up or other parts of the paint or whatever they make em out of starting to slowly break down., that would be my main concern.

Personally I think the new costume looks great. It may be slightly inaccurate (Leathery material, no shimmering silver) but the overall appearance sitting on the shelf is what's important to me.
True, the suit could start cracking badly if it's printed on pleather, But I'm not going to go crazy with posing, that's what my Comic Spider-Man is for.

One thing that could be done, is take the head off Spidey 3 version, repaint the webbing silver, and place it on top the old Spidey 2 body and costume. It would come the closest to what he looks like and the Spidey 2 costume might be a little more durable.

It would be an easier choice if Spidey 3 comes with two head sculpts.

(we just got the comic version).

The comic version came out over a year ago.(you mean SS just got it recently)And for some reason medicom protos are always brighter in color,so i'm sure that blue will be darker.

examples....superman and cyclops(both had light blue protos and much darker blue in final)

The reds will most likely be darker as well, the Superman proto had bright red parts but when the figure shipped they were darker...

If they are $99 I'll order the symbiote Spidey directly from SSC. I'd like to have that one ASAP. Any more though and I'll probably hit up another retailer for the discount.

Thats probably how i will do it myself(although i might substitute symbiote for venom cause if he looks how i think he may thats gonna be one hot figure.)But so far we can't really tell if these are real limited,looks like another case of movie wolverine where it's not really limited just will sell out then backorder etc. etc.
