spidey pf's

hey, i have never actually seen one of these and i was wondering if they are worth the $$$. the exclusive with the camera seems kind of weak to me, and the others (negative & red black) are so expensive. are the rare /75 exclusives worth that big coin or is it just to say i've got one. i mean just comparing it to my doom pf ex. which definately looks and feels like it's worth that kind of cash, but a negative or black/red spidey i don't know.

Seems like this is a matter of opinion for many... Or an issue of "value vs. Worth". I have a spidey PF ex and I LOVE it. As far as the "classic" or negative zone Spidey, I personally don't feel like they're worth the high $$ that they're selling for. These seem to be getting so much $$ due to the limited # of them produced...I think the reg and exclusive are worth it, and the camera is a cool accessory, but not a MUST HAVE. But this PF Is almost a MUST for a Marvel collection

I owned the Spidey PF--- it doesn't come close to the Doom PF. There seem to be a lot of things off about it in person but that's just my opinion.

I've owned the classic and the neg zone Spidey PFs... Both are weak and not even worth retail price.. The polystone cloth combo is forced and doesn't work and his pose looks like he is ready to drop a loaf.

yeah i've always had my doubts about the pose, mostly cause i've heard that review from others.

the black/red retro spidey is the best of the three and definitely worth having... one of my favorites.

funny you say that, since i was thinking if a person was going to spend that kind of $$$$ i would rather have the more to original/iconic version than the negative zone. how does the fabric to poly look on yours jake? or did you package them all back up again?

actually, i think the fabric looks and fits in the best on the retro statue. for some reason the negative zone pf just looks a little different with the silver fabric. it's my least favorite of the three, but i still wouldn't trade 'em for a doom

you know what's weird...

my negative zone spidey is a production sample and it only came with the rubble base. the weird part is that the foam carton looks like it was made for it and not the cityscape base.

does anyone know the whole story about the bases?

The thing is the Neg Spidey was were meant to originally come with the rubble base(i think ive told you this before), but when they started shipping them, SS mistakenly shipped them with the rooftop bases like the others.
So afterwards once the mistake was realised and people wondered what was going on, SS sent out the rubble base seperately to the buyers
So I think most owners have the 2 bases, I do anyway.

I like the pose, my only complaint with this piece is the spider on the back...looks cheap.

The price for the Classic and Neg. versions are ridiculously high for the quality of this piece IMO.

No problem, it does look seemless, it is perfect and awesome in every way imo, here's another:

The Classic version is definately THE best of the 3 imo but speaking as a huge Spidey fan I love all 3 of them and cannot wait to get them displayed together

I never see the back/red classic one and please do not show me this pic Shell, I have a sick feeling to my stomach every time I see it!

You just alerted a worldwide forum of a piece ending today that for the highest bidder might have led to being screwed on this piece.

As for the PFs I love my Spidey PF, I got him far below retail but I would have paid retail pricing on him. The best of the three IMHO is the Classic but not good enough to pay Doom prices for.
