Rick's been so depressed and not ready ,the gov had more anger and was brewing for the fight!

Even if Rick was in tip top shape, he would of still taken a beaten.

From the previews of the second half of the season, looks like Carl and Rick are in that house they find in the comic and Rick gets sick from his gunshot wound and Carl thinks he's dead at one point.

The group will go back to Hershel's farm and regroup and meet Abraham.

Yep i believe tho where Rick's kinda like Rocky he needs to get kicked to get super pissed then go into frenzy mode and win. I also believe the gov is a bad *** opponent he has NOTHING TO LOSE! He's lost so much he just already past his thousand mile March stare of WAR !

They had to set it up the way they did, because the gov would have won otherwise against rick.

I loved tonight's episode, it was about 95% accurate to the comic and it's about ****ing time, too. The new show runner is doing a damn great job.

95% seems a bit high, but I agree it was the most "comic" the show has had in a long time. Governor even said "Kill them all!"

I was never good with numbers :lol

But Hershel was beheaded in Tyrese's place, Lilly shot Governor in the head, Judith dies (albeit a TV death), everyone's separated and Rick and Carl are alone, the "kill them all" line as you mentioned, the tank. Even the first Governor-centric episode was a lot like the novel based on the comic version.

Seems like the new season 4 show runner is trying to fix all the bull**** from seasons 2 and 3.

Yeah it wasn't blow for blow with the comic, but I saw a lot of shots and lines that were right out of the comic in this episode. I'm surprised the whole fight was wrapped up in one episode. This was good to hold us over until February, glad there wasn't a giant cliffhanger.

It was great. Is it certain that Judith died?

No, but if Judith did die I'm betting they did the whole safe, off screen TV death as opposed to:

Seeing the episode my immediate thought was Walkers got Judith.

Not until hearing Kirkman on Talking Dead did I even consider someone else that was bleeding picked her up and ran.

I remember Maggie was looking for her.

Thanks, aj. Enjoyed that and it looks like the back half of this season is shaping up to be very frenetic and tense. Just what I was hoping for.

I was thinking Tara was sort of close to where Judith was and it'd be a way for her and Lilly to wind up with Rick's group at some point. Probably more likely that it was Maggie or Sasha though.

It's going to be a few episodes before they are all back together probably. Rick & Carl find Michonne by accident, and they both are found sleeping in a car they found by Glenn & Maggie on Hershel's horses. I don't know about the bus though, that's a new element to the show since they didn't have any Woodbury survivors with them in the comic.

So what are the theories about who is dissecting rabbits in the prison basement? (I thought it was a rat, but Gimple said it was a rabbit). Who is it? Is it the same person who was feeding rats to the Walkers?

My guess is that it is Bob. I think he lied about being a medic, so he is "practicing" on small animals to learn more about anatomy, techniques, etc.
