Ever since they quit the 1/6th dead line, Spooks just hasn't been the same. I can only hope for a 1/6 DC entry this year.

We need pin head and myers PF. :)

Agreed, but don't hold your breath. SS doesn't really care about horror or monster fans anymore. We're lucky to get one big horror PF release a year. From what I understand they're not even working on obtaining the rights to Myers. Don't know why as he'd be a big hit for horror fans. :dunno

Maybe pcs can give it to us if SS bails on the fans who pay them. :lecture

until the spook goes back to the format from years past circa 2009...........it will never be the epic event of the year it used to be.

spooktacular used to be "THE" online event...............:lecture

i rest my case...............:lecture

2009 was incredible. So much chat giveaway action, so many guests (including Greg, who we've since scared away), contests every couple of hours during the day and throughout the night... loved every minute of it.

Honestly though, I wish they'd dumb down the social networking giveaways. I'm not bummed out because we're getting less-committed fans participating (though that does irk me somewhat), but because those particular contests are done almost instantly. Instead of a chat or website announcement about some scavenger hunt or super-temporary deal, they post it on Facebook where thousands of people -- no matter what they're doing -- can jump in. It's fast enough in chat, but with Facebook, it's over before half the actual participants even know it happened.

If Sideshow is so desperate to involve Facebook fans, why not advertise the website on Facebook during Halloween week, which will then channel the most committed of their FB fans into the real Spook event? That way, everyone on Facebook knows what's going on, but it's all happening on the website. Same goes for Twitter and whatever other pages Sideshow has. Let those people know what's happening and they can actually put forth an effort to log onto Sideshow's site if they're interested.

Oddly enough the Readiness Kits are getting better and better. It's the event itself that isn't what it used to be.

We need a new Spook shirt this year! :lecture

Is RoboDad going to do another for 2012? I love last year's t-shirt I got! :yess:

I forgot I had that shirt! Wore it for Halloween last year, but I think I'll break it out on a more regular basis now.

Yeah I was trying to stop with PFs but if they do an awesome horror PF, i'll more than likely go in on it. Especially if we see Pinhead. I wont even bring up Myers.

Due to space, I only will allow myself to own ten PFs at a time sadly, but for a Myers PF I would break that rule in a second. Just starting to make room for three DC PFs and would gladly make space for Myers. Not getting the hopes up though!

2 months before my first spook! Hope it's not too many good things. I need to save money. Maybe 1 or 2 good PF and all other stuff.
