The first link was on the gif of the haunted house and skeleton.

All I got was the animated GIF...watched it for 5 minutes, hoping the clue would show up in the animation. Never got the link.

Because of my way of needing to view this board, it's possible I tweaked the display settings in the User CP so that something didn't show up right for me. When I'm at home and on my best connection, I'll try resetting everything to normal and see if it appears differently for me.

Not sure, maybe security settings or anti-virus blocking it somehow?
