I met him while he was touring with his band, and I can truly state the man can't act. He just talks like he does in real life. Although he was good in the Bill and Ted movies... But he was probably stoned for real when he shot them.

Whoa! I've seen more emotion on fish.
My bet is on the fact that these have something to do with that special spyglass we're getting with the kit. If you go to the Criswell wallpaper and have a gander just to the right of the "Spooktacular 2008" logo, it looks like there's a skull there or something. You can also make out the outline of another skull at the very tip (left) of his forehead. These shapes were fairly consistent hidden in the others too.

you know - it looks like those white "spots" are slightly different on each poster. Can someone overlap them?
For example, just up and to the left of Criswell's head looks like 1/2 of someone standing (I see what looks like an arm). Perhaps overlapped would reveal an image.

The "spots" are exactly the same on each wallpaper image. For example, the part of the Criswell wallpaper that looks to you like an arm appears just to the right of the "Coming Soon" frame on the Collects wallpaper, and just above the E in "DEAD" on the Dead wallpaper.
It's just that the posters don't appear at the same place in the wallpaper image each time that threw you.
