Re: Spud's Customs

I have to say that I'm pretty proud of this one guys. I got the body for it today and was so excited that I had to stay up into the early morning finishing it. Well, technically there's still a few things I need to work on but I'm very pleased thus far. Even though I don't have Jabba and don't have any plans of getting one, I was lucky enough to score a vibro axe from one of the statues of Slave Leia that an eBay seller was selling. That was the main thing on which this project hinged. When I won it I knew it was meant to be.

I also finished my Battlefront 501st marksman. I really like how he turned out too and he was a pretty easy custom overall. Making his rifle was the biggest challenge.

Dudeeeee! I want that ****tttt! Can you take some more close-up pictures of this guy please? I am serious man, I think I will buy him.

Re: Spud's Customs

Thanks guys, it really means a lot. :)

@ Chris, on the clones, I'm afraid I've lost count. I've got two more coming up that I'll be working on, but as far as the 501st goes he's the 9th.

@ Nate, the body for Slave Leia is one of the new stainless steal ones from Phicen. It's incredible as far as movement goes. It doesn't have the popping joint movements like the old Phicens do. Its all smooth. I got the tan mid sized (because they didn't make a small in the new version) and it matches the snyderman head sculpt pretty dang close. And the paint apps on the body itself are pretty awesome too. Highlights on the torso and back make it look more realistic than just being a solid color.

@ 501stcanada, I can get some more pictures for sure. But I'm afraid this trooper isn't leaving the cloning facility. :D

Re: Spud's Customs

Excellent work spud....can't imagine a better Leia and the Battlefront 501st marksman is right on. Seeing the 501st is reminding me about how great it will be when we can have Rex II and Echo and Fives Arc displayed together. :yess:
