Square Enix Play Arts Kai Gets New Licenses

I wanted to get sephiroth as my last play arts figure but decided to quit when I saw the price. Now I'm gonna get rid of my collection and focus on 1/6.

They're awesome but the prices just keep going up!

I almost want to get out of the line and sell all I got because their prices are outrageous. These are no where near HT so they shouldn't cost as much.

What costs as much? Sephiroth was available at $120 usd if you POed from overseas, same with cloud, even at $150 for the new cloud ($110 at most places) its not even close to hot toys

Anything over $100 is silly for these things.

Despite the fact on the absurdity of the pricing PAK is, I'm still hoping they would continue with the old licenses while acquiring new ones (MGS3/4, Horizon, etc.). I was waiting for Nier, but making it in a totally new line with smaller scale is causing me to lose interest.

So relieved they actually finished the AC team.

Though the gold on the Fenrir is wayy too bright. Still, the god damn thing has FUNCTIONAL SWORD STORAGE!!! And his goggles.

They are still making figures. I just think only FF and Kingdom Hearth lines are worth it. The rest are not so much and overpriced. I just find their superheroes are crap.

PAK is definitely on their way out if they don't change their prices. That had huge hype like two years ago, but all their stuff just sits in warehouses now.

I've just got into their FF7/AC line and I think their Final Fantasy figures in general look fantastic.

I'm not into any of their other licenses, though. Superhero, or otherwise, so I can't speak to them.

Same here. I started getting a few figure as their quality started to improve but then their quality became very inconsistent and their prices...holy crap. I can't believe the prices on their figures over the last year or so. Haven't bought one since AC Cloud and that was pushing it on the price.

I'm glad I didn't buy the PAK version of Cloud. Scaletta is working on one that will be mass produced with Xensation. Just check his FB page.

Most of the customs he's done in the past were for people who preordered directly with him. But the odd time he's teamed with Xensation to mass produce.
