I think it breaks at the shoulder pad like that for all of them. I didn't really notice it myself since it blends in with his armor color. Also there's spikes in that area under the shoulder pads so it takes your eyes away from it. The up close picture makes it look like a 5" gap, but really it's probably half an inch of gap space between where it ends and the shoulder pad.

I'm a huge Arthas and WOW and WarCraft III fan as you probably could tell my avatar.

I like the statue a lot but they really never should have done away with the gold trim. And the right side of the cape, where it just cuts off, looks a little strange. Given that they delayed this statue for almost a year, I think they could have done a little better.

Arthas (WarCraft) 1:5 Statue - Sideshow

He's here!!!! He's finally here!!! And OH MY GOD what a gorgeous statue! I am in awe!
The sculpt, the weight, the details, the presence, the light up... everything is perfect! Even the packaging was top notch! Like we have't seen form Sideshow in a while. QC sticker, double cardboard, high quality styrofoam, each piece in its own plastic wrap each with a silica bag. Perfect.
Statue of the year for me and probably the best statue I have bar none.
Get him now!!!

Also they his head black and didn't paint it light bluish purple.

You have to put the helmet on his head. It's plastic too.

I just ordered some gold paint and a few brushes off amazon for $20 and am going to paint in the gold trim myself.
