can someone do a mock comparision shot with Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Psylocke comiquettes in relation to this?

I dont know if its me, but he looks tiny, like a diorama

Sideshow is overcharging consumers by at least $100 on this piece

I thought it was a Dio too at first glance....has a bit of a Cookie Monster vibe over an actual Beast look....

Dangnamit! I was wrong!GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!:emperor

Awwwww. I wanted new x-men Beast!:monkey2

You want alot of things. :lol

All that a Non-Refundable deposit will do in ensure that regular customers think twice before ordering. It won't turn the flippers or want to bes away because they are intending to keep it to try and make some $$$. I order from Sideshow because I like the ability to cancel or Flex if the time comes and I don't have it, it allows me to order across lines and licenses without much worry. While it's only $20, that can add up quickly in terms of ordering and it means that I'll just wait to order from Sideshow and that unless I can be sure it'll be something I keep, it means I'll just wait for 2nd Chances for certain exclusives.

I'll say this, if its a new Sideshow policy across the board on all orders to go 10% (it looks like it just might be exclusives) there is no real benefit for me to go through them and not an AD especially living in California, a lot of those exclusives just aren't worth the tax.

I have to agree with you on this. People feel its going to discourage flippers but I dont think so either. Its going to discourage someone like me from ordering especially since down the road I might want to Flex it and find out that I cant.

I see your point, but I think a flipper may want to think twice about ordering one. It seems right now that every piece up fro pre-order sells out, then comes processing / shipping time, a lot more pieces become available. With the non-refundable deposit, a flipper will have to take in consideration whether they want to take a potential loss on the product.

As for regular customers, you're right. I wonder if the new deposit policy will ensure some pieces will be available for order when the item actually ships, as buyers may wait to see final production pics.

think the economy contributed greatly to their decision. Lately I haven't minded the fact that Sideshow has hollow bases for some of their pieces, IE Hulkbuster Ironman, X-23 VS Lady Deathstrike Diorama, and most likely the Hulk will be entirely hollow.. etc but if they are gonna renege on the quality then the price should certainly come down greatly. I have a problem with the fact that this probably is no bigger than the Rogue Comiquette and its a $100 more.

Flippers take more losses than gains. Its that one diamond in the rough that they sell for 10x the retail that keeps them in the game. Former flippers on these boards will atest to that. The only thing it'll do is keep them from buying 5 or 6 because they have to keep it managable. In reality, the SS Ex usually ebb and flow, with them jumping at first and then either maintaining or dipping so this won't do much to effect that.

What it means is that you'll see Exclusives last longer and over time when people are canceling more that time will continue and continue to be available because people are biting like they used to. The positive is that for those that are TBA edition sizes it might keep them on the lower end but overall I see them doing away with it for lower licenses and keeping it for higher profitable licenses like Star Wars or Marvel. I have a feeling for some pieces you'll see the regulars sell out before the Ex because retailers feed into those edition sizes.

what's the EX?

A book for his massively exaggerated hand and a print.

i suck at photoshop, but I guess it looks fine. Although Nightcrawler taller than Beast,... maybe Im just having a hard time imagining what it looks like in person.

This is a total waste! The sculpting is far below the quality of Punisher, Venom, Carnage, Thanos, Spiderman, Daredevil, & yes Hulk. Why? Because after we've been treated to some of the best renditions of above mentioned characters, by the best sculptors out there by far, (Martin Canale/gore group, & Viggiano studios, how can Sideshow expect us to accept anything less???? Scale looks off, detail is crude, & the pose is simply silly. As for the price for this,..... this thing! A total rip-off!!!!!(as compared to above mentioned works). Frankly, with all the recent shuffling, crazy pricing, corner cutting, sub-par paint apps, & inconsistent releases (scale), Sideshow is really starting to worry me. These guys are bouncing around all over the place!? If Sideshow wants to launch lower grade items, fine. But definitely, not at these prices!!!!! Sideshow, take a deep breath & relax. Take stock of what fans (collectors) are buying, & are getting excited about, but not this. You'll be stuck with mucho inventory on this piece, and/or the secondary market prices will be dirt cheap! Take your pick.

Apocalypse better not be in 1/6 scale... I think beast is clearly in 1/6 scale, whereas Nightcrawler and Colossus are probably a little bit more in proportion with other comiquettes 1/5 scale.

I really hate these modern costumes. That is all. So sadly Nightcrawler, Colossus, and now Beast are marked off the want list.
