could this be the biggest botch-job of all time...

It feels like it because of all the anticipation of this piece. The prototype pics looked awesome. The pics from Comic-Con looked awesome. The in-hand pics we are seeing now look like sh!-t. How can someone approve the paint on either head, let alone say it looks ok?

What a buzzkill this is turning out to be. I'll have no problem sending this back if she looks like the in hand pics (which she probably will). I work too hard for my money than to p!ss it away on some sub-par statue with good sculpt but a paint job that looks like it was painted by a 5 year old.

Well, to be fair we gotta admit the pic below "is not the best". The lighting and especially the angle are not flattering at all

I would normally agree with this, but this time it doesn't really seem to be lighting or angle that's the issue. I'll see tomorrow. I'll try to take some decent pics.

Yeah I don't think lighting or angle has anything to do with the fact that the white part of her hair looks to be made from cake frosting. There is almost no detail in the hair strands when compared to the proto pic.

Guys I'm glad I didn't order Rogue but feel sorry for those who payed over $300 for a top quality statue and ended up getting this...This is tantamount to false advertising by SS as the product paid for does not look anything like like the product you ended up getting. At least you can exercise your right to return this for a full refund. Hope this is an isolated incident as SS is known for producing top level products most of the time

The SSC pic looks so damn life-like, its almost like someone showed that statue to a child and said paint this one to look like that one.

The paint looks very thick and blotchy, whereas it should be smooth and crisp.

Well they should. For almost a year wait, this should had come out better. Which ever team over at China painted them, needs some serious lessons on how to hold a brush. Those pics are the worst I've ever seen (though flash was used) so it maybe a little misleading.

In the end, this is the only interpretation of Rogue to go with the current set of X-Men PFs. I don't think there is going to be another Rogue for a long while.

Yeah, even the sculpt has been changed (for the worse). The bandana in the EX head looked like a separated piece...now you can see green paint on the hair.
