No I get it, speculation, but if it turns out to be true, and the regs were done at a different location, they could look amazing.

What Im wondering out loud is IF this was the case I wonder what kind of further backlash they will receive and what it would mean for the Ex run.

BTW can someone tell me how a replacement works? You ship the defective piece and they ship a replacement? or you break the bad piece & take a picture of it, then they ship you a replacement? DO you gotta pay for the shipping? thanks for the answers!

Mike from customer service said that there were only 3-5 people affected by this problem on the boards. All the pictures posted so far are from a very select few collectors.

Gottcha. The regular version is being produced at a different factory and the problems won't be repeated. Since there are only 3-5 collectors affected it'll be a piece of cake to get the other factory to produce replacement. Everyone is happy

at this point, no one knows. i used my words carefully, i said theres a possibility that the problems were not repeated. if they were, then this is one major setback for SSC both from a financial and goodwill standpoint.

I'd take it with a grain of salt. Sure it could be true but not likely. Was there ever a case where the EX and REG ended up being drastically different quality wise.

Use your judgement people and don't trust everything you hear. Not saying that Sideshow is lying about the Reg but I'd be highly suspicious.

They cover the shipping, sometimes they have you send the whole statue back or sometimes they have you destroy it and take photos.
I strongly believe there is not some magical, flawless inventory where replacements come from, I think if you send your bad statue back, at some point it gets recycled to another customer who is getting replacements also.

True, that was the case for my Reg. Cyclops Pf & Jason Pf but the reg heads look exactly as does shipped with the Ex editions. I guess it's wishful thinking on our part that somehow the Reg Rogue heads will look much better, i sure hope so!

Another member on the StatueForum posted what Dawn from Sideshow Collectibles told them. The regular editions were produced at a different factory. I think its safe to assume that theres a possibility that the problems were not repeated.

Id find the exact quote of the member but that will take hours..

BTW those were not my exact words and sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Your better than that...

The SF member said that the CS rep stated that she thought they were being produced at a different factory, but wasn't sure. It was a guess and therefore should be given no proper credence without verification.

I'm pretty sure that's the way it is most of the time... and the way it should be.
Although, I already have the Vampi reg, and the EX is coming on Tues. No big whoop.

LOL!!
And I have them all!

Each is very impressive and each have a spot in my collection.
I can at anytime repaint them to near perfection but I dont see any reason. Sideshow still makes better statues than most companies I have dealt with! And that includes my personal customs and kits that I get. There are only a few statues that are %100 perfection.

Lets put the pressure on and ask for better products in the future.
I cant wait for my Vamp EX to come next Wed! All indications is that its perfection!
