I'm sorry to hear about your father in law Ave. :(

I'm glad things are going good for you with the ARH gig. :)

Re: Rogue

Did you know that peoples Pupils become dilated when they are aroused or excited? That's why they modify pics on the covers of fashion mags and make there pupils larger.

Good point!!

:yess: You tell'm!!

Re: Rogue

:rotfl.....I've been telling people forever now. SS makes crap products..and I got pounced on by the fanboys. Now everyone is getting a taste so you know just how it feels :nana:

Chris

I buy more crap than you! So your telling me Sideshow is worse than some of the customs?

How have you been?

Im seeing everyone here tonight!

How delightful! :wave

Re: Rogue

No, but it doesn't surprise me that you'd think so, given your propensity for grotesquely irrational overgeneralization.

According to who?....you?...were you there with me unpacking all the crap SS sent me?

The only "grotesquely irrational overgeneralization" here is Rogues face and your "Sideshows #1 fan" T-shirt.

Do you even speak English? :lol

Yeah, according to me. I thought I already told you...they sent you crap on purpose because they know how much of an _______ you are and came to the conclusion that you deserve the worst.

Re: Rogue

Got my Rogue today. Like many she was my most anticipated purchase of the year, but after skimming this thread for the past few days I opened the box with some trepidation.

I can handle the change to the butt. It still looks fine (the original was better) and SS do cover the arse (pun?) by saying that the prototypes may not match the finished product.

Based on some of the photos, I'm one of the lucky ones. There are no major flaws with my piece, which is a relief as doing O/S returns is not fun and costs $$.

Having said that there are a few small flaws including:
- slightly wonky eyes with poor paint apps. You can't see them unless you are up close but they are there
- slight paint run from headband to head (covered by hair as it's very minor)
- paint app on the boots isn't uniform, especially around the green bands
- velcro on belt is in wrong position so the belt hangs loose no matter where you sit it
-dimples in the base. this one annoys me the most. they are only small but noticable when you put it next to Gambit (which was the whole point of the damn statue).

Like I said, I'm keeping the statue as sending it back is an annoying process and it looks good next to Gambit (from a distance).

But really is disappointing that these flaws are allowed on a supposed 'high-end' collectable. With the price that is being paid for these QC issues should be minimal to non-existant.

I collect these statues as I enjoy them and have (for the most part) the disposable income to pay for them. If the QC issues continue it wouldn't difficult to find another avenue for that income to be used. Hopefully people at SS take note of this and look for ways to improve they QC. Yes they may be the only game in town with regards to collectables, but there are lots of other activities that can replace them.

Re: Rogue

my best friend came over to see it in person after watching my youtube video review. says that he agrees.. thats all that matters at this point. no need to convince others of the obvious design flaws/bastardiazation of paint aps.
