Yeah, thanks. :) I sold my PF a long time ago, and suddenly, I'm not missing it. What I've done here isn't exactly screen accurate, but it gets the message across.

I'm going to part out an old green lightsaber and cut it down before attaching it to the Clone's back to make it look like he's been impaled. I'll attach a bit of the other end to Yoda's unlit saber hilt, most likely, then adjust Yoda so that he looks like he's getting ready to yank it out. A little bit of custom paintwork, and voila. (I actually thought about drilling a hole through the clone. The jury's still out on that tactic.)

Sounds awesome! We better see a photo of that when it's done!

Yoda showed up at my desk today. Here's a quick snapshot. His hand hooks nicely into the armor at the Clone's armpit. The rest is a balancing act, assisted by a bit of museum putty.

Is that Commander Carter?

Good eye! :) Yeah, that's Carter. Cool figure. Love the use of magnets for the accessories. Haven't tried messing with the batteries yet, so the lights aren't working. All the same, once he's on a shelf, he's fantastic.

Well done, Rook! That is really inspired...gonna give that a go when Yoda shows up here next week...

Mine still hasn't shipped and I live like 30 minutes from SSC!

I always wondered. If you live that close to SS ... can you not drive down there and pick it up? or will they still charge you for shipping?

I must say ... that is a great pic. I'll have to do that myself if I pick him up.

Sideshow doesn't have a storefront. The building is strictly a production facility with an attached warehouse and shipping division.

Besides, given the cost of gas these days, and traffic around LA, the cost of shipping is far preferable to the time, expense, and headache of a 30-mile trip. Why fight traffic when someone can bring it to you at home?

So even if you go to the store... you can't buy anything from there?

I've never asked. I know retailers around here drive down to pick up their orders. It would actually make a big difference for me in ordering statues there versus other places that don't charge CA tax. My guess is they wouldn't let me though. Would require a whole new department if everyone caught wind that they could pick stuff up.

I went to a friend's house in CA and he's very near SSC that's why paying for shipping makes him laugh each time.

If SSC would have a store front however, I think they fear of getting more RETURNS than walk-in purchases LOL
