Sideshow Harley rolls Medicom Harley for her shoes .....
Side by side comparison (kinda).
You need to do some modding to really have the Medicom shoes be a part of the Sideshow figure, but for my display, I think it's alright as is. I simply popped the shoes (only the shoes, not the feet) off the Medicom figure, & slipped them on the Sideshow figure. Even though the Medicom shoes should have feet inside them, & the Sideshow figure doesn't have feet, I feel for simple display purposes, I don't need to bother with modding anything, since it's stable enough, & displays well on a stand. It can even stand on it's own somehow if you pose it correctly.
As for the size & colour of the Medicom shoes, I think it goes well with the Sideshow figure. If your picky, then I would say that the red on the Medicom shoes does not entirely match, but I think it's close enough to still look nice. The Sideshow boots & Medicom shoes are around a similar length, so I think the size is alright as well. Maybe I might have liked the Medicom shoes to be a fraction larger, but then I look at her & think, yeah, those are girl feet, so it's okay
One pretty significant improvement I think I've found out by doing the swap (my way without modding), is that the height on the Sideshow figure gets shorter, which I guess makes it more display friendly with the Sideshow Joker (I don't have that figure). Nice.
Closer look.
I'm thinking about experimenting with mixing sculpts, collars, & cuffs, around to see what things look like, but maybe at a later date. Or not.
Overall, I'm happy I have a more classic looking Sideshow Harley Quinn figure on my shelf. Thanks Medicom ..... I guess.
