Yeah. People bidding on these items are funding a trust fund for her kids. Most people know that these can be bought cheaper but are being caring/thoughtful/generous with their money. Before you mock someone who's helping 2 kids who lost their mom to heart disease might want to do some research first. it's amazing that people want to help and get bashed on this forum..gotta love it.

Woah, there guy. A. Ondi didn't know and has apologized B. Ondi isn't laughing at someone trying to help another person or bashing anyone for it. Only laughing at the skyrocketing price of a single statue.

There's 1,250 regular spiderman cq's and it's more than a double and instant sell once someone wants to sell one. If the statue and character are both a homerun, there won't be enough supply for the demand down the road.

I agree, just that there is a big difference between 1250 and 3750 pieces on the market. Like, I like buying SS 'cause they do such great work and not everyone can own a piece and as a real fan, I think by making too many it only serves to make the piece too available and less "special" to me if you will. Anyway, there are a ton of Batman fans on here and we all got our Ex so what ever will be will be, right? Not gonna worry about it. Just gonna hope that this piece isn't too overdone and hope for a decent Ex ES.

Okay fair point but I wasn't being that harsh and neither meant it. You made your point in your first post and I apologised and amended appropriately.

When you said you were laughing that people were bidding that much when it clearly states that it's for a memorial fund for a former sideshow employee, you don't get a pass. Ignorance isn't an excuse. I hope that sideshow people aren't reading this thread...would be quite depressing.

Not drinking coffee now..only in the morning. If He was looking at the eBay sale it clearly states that it's a fundraiser. There is no excuse, then he mocks the people who are being generous with their money.

Nah. Apples & oranges. The LSF line isn't for the majority of the statue world

No it's fine. It's just annoying that a company wants to do something for a former employee and people are mocking those who want to contribute. I just don't get it. Maybe it's me.

Gee, hugs everyone! I lost my dad to lung cancer two years ago and it's no joke. I'm sure that person who left the post meant no offense. Anyway, life is short so smile and enjoy and don't get your blood pressure up over it 'cause I'm sure they weren't laughing at that. The charity auction is great. So now can we get back to the Batman PF...?

It being a fundraiser or not has nothing to do with it. If those people choose to bid on that statue for what A. could be generosity or B. could be that they really want the statue is none of mine or anyone else's concern.

However laughing at the price tag of an statue on website does not constitute mocking. Ondi even say "More power to them if they got it", meaning glad for them if they can afford to do it, which isn't making light of anything other than that's a lot to pay for the piece, even in today's market.

No one called them anything, no one said they were less for doing it.

Getting to be so that you can't laugh anymore without someone policing you.

Once I heard it was for charity I kept my mouth shut. Not that I had anything negative to say in the first place or said anything at all prior.

Are you serious? The item description clearly states what the funds are for. They ask people to be generous.. And someone laughs at that. you don't see a problem? We lost my wife's aunt to cancer last year and donated over a grand to cancer research. You want to laugh at that? Maybe we should tell Diane's kids that it's funny that people are raising money for their futures. People amaze me sometimes.

My point is no one was laughing about the hardships of others and no one was making a statement that said they should or shouldn't bid the items.

And how dare you throw the death of someone in my face, I've lost 3 people to cancer in my life time and you think that by some measure you're the only one who has feelings towards the disease.

People's self righteous and pompous attitudes amaze me sometimes.
