Well, if you don't want it don't buy it. I gotta ask though.... Have you seen him in person??? Because if you haven't you gotta find a way because as you have probably heard .... Pics don't do him justice.

I have seen him in person, there was an EX a couple of weeks ago at my lcs, the face paint job looked pretty much to what you posted in your pic and imo it looks really bad. I have seen some repaint jobs from another thread here and it looks so much better already, but i'm not gonna pay another hundred something dollars to have it fixed if I already paid 500$ for it. Like I said i'll check it out tomorrow.

It's a damn fine piece. The paint on the faces isn't all that dark. The pits are better in person, and they can be fairly easily fixed, if desired.

I gotta ask tho, I saw you post in the repaint job thread asking how much the dude from Paris was charging for the repaint. Did you or do you have any intention of having it repainted ?

Not really, I have him. And when it comes to buying art and statues I never listen to the subjective nitpicking of others. Otherwise I wouldn't have a Punisher PF, or an EX Joker..or really anything for that matter.

If I had based my choice in the first few pics that came out I would have cancelled my WL, but damn I am so glad I didn't. This is a personal treasure, and I think he is AWESOME!!!!

Alrighty, fair enough... We all have to make up our own minds though I would ask if you have seen the Andy B long eared portrait on him yet??? Many are preceding that one even though it doesn't photograph worth a damn.

The face isnt nearly as dark as it looks in photo. Flash makes it look really bad. The shadows and paint job on the face make sense to the character and the scene. It feels like a dark scene. Get some lights shining from beneath him, and it looks bad Azz.

Then he will really look like he is on top of a rooftop somewhere

Hmm I'm looking at some pics online, is it like the same portrait of the short ears but customized with long ears ?

Everything gets nitpicked on here. No matter how good a statue looks. Say the Dr Doom PF didn't exist & only got revealed now, as amazing as that statue is I guarantee you there would be a small group of people telling you it's naf.

I was thinking about it, but ultimately decided not to (just don't want to risk damaging the heads during shipment). There is no doubt that the repainted heads look better, I just don't think they look bad enough to take the risk of shipping them.

I understand, no problem!


But just so you know, I've repainted Batman heads from all over the world and haven't had a single breakage issue. The ears are quite thick actually.

Funny. All kidding aside, could some one please tell me if their Bats pf has frayed threads, on the stitching of his shorts. I have some other issues with him as well, (base, portraits, and his shirt) and was trying to make up my mind if I should proceed with a replacement request.

I would really appreciate if some one could provide some insight into the frayed threads question.

These paint jobs are the stock ones, and I PERSONALLY love them. The Matin Canale has the darker 5 Oclock shadow of the two portraits, but they both have the shadow. The Andy B head was a SLEEPER hit for me really as for two years I thought for SURE the ONLY portrait I would display would be the Canale, but I LOVE the Andy one Now. It is TOTALLY amazing so if you haven't seen it on the statue ou NEED too before you make a decision.

Deffinitely ask for a replacement, mine came with a few issues and they replaced all my damaged parts.

Yeah I know it comes with 2 heads, just didn't know which one was which. I saw a version of the short eared head customized with long ears, that's what I thought you were talking about. Anywho yeah, the face paint job for those looks great actually, just gotta fix those armpits...

I'm thinking if I can successfully complete the armpit fix then I'll treat myself and have the two heads send to Kev for repainting. The wife can pay the fees as a Fathers Day gift

Well, Canale did do a long eared version of his portrait, but it never went into production, and the went with the long ears Andy B head instead. Yes I do agree that these photos really do show off the two portraits well. Have you picked yours up yet.
