Re: Sideshow Batman PF?

Bro Tamato! Holy **** man! Dude that is ****ing awesome lol. Yeah like Spidey said, I think I might start doing that this summer too. Always wanted to do my own statues but customs are the way to go. Bro you have seriously mad skills.

LOL... you and I should start sculpting and form a TDot support group... lol. However, in all seriousness I am seriously thinking about taking it up. I love to learn new skills, and this way I could, with practise, make pieces the way I would want to have them. Lots and lots of practise mind you... lol.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

What do you use to work on?
Everything I've played with sets over night.

Is it something that doesn't set until you bake it?

I think it is Super Sculpey, but I know there are multiple types. I have heard that Super Sculpey firm is better for fine details. There are whole tutorials out there for it both here and on SF.

Yes Collectorcol, I used Super Sculpey, it's an oven bake (or boil) clay that never hardens until you bake it. And Spideys right, Super Sculpey FIRM is a better product for holding super fine detail, but both are excellent products.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Here's a comparison, I tried to make mine a touch larger than the originals so I may need to bulk the neck a little more (thanks Spidey)

Here's a current turn-a-round comparison...

I think you are fine when you are viewing from in front or behind, but you may need a little move girth from front to back... Though I have personally never had that problem.... Lol.

Look awesome m8

No, that's no repaint in the pic, that's how mine came from the factory. No complaints here.

Dude let me know lol. I would love to start it up. I had planned on setting up a small workshop in my unfinished basement til I can renovate it. I draw a bit but I've always wanted to do mixed media stuff ever since I discovered Sideshow back in '04.

Well if I do start to give it a shot we should compare notes. I hate to say I am kind of thinking abut a select few things I would want to try.... First and foremost it would be a Hulk...lol.

You're probably right but I was trying to find a balance between just suggesting that teeth are there rather then having that weird "chicklet" look, know what I mean? Lol

Hmmm... At idea what you are going to paint the teeth with m8.
