What wasn't wrong with him?

At least 2 of the vest pouches were too small to hold the machine gun magazines.

That large seperate belt was sewn crooked so some of the loops were the various things attach were sewn shut.

And then to top things off both heads were painted sloppy. The masked head had mask paint on his cheeks. The unmasked head was growing stubble on his nose.

And for the price we are paying for these now, those mistakes were just unacceptabe. So I'll be getting a replacement once they get the dud back.

Sad thing was I just got my extra BH parts from TA today (extra 2 mags for the vest with the too small pouches) and Flint clips for the vest as well (only needed three so I didn't bother getting offical BH ones).

That's gonna happen on occasion regardless of how much money we're paying. Mine has jacked up paint on the EX head, but I'm a little skeptical about contacting them as they might want me to send the whole thing back and aside from that, he's perfect.

As I wrote on my review on the Sideshow site, Beachhead is THE crown jewel of what should be Sideshow's flagship 1/6 line.

Inspired by one of my favorite movies, G.I. Jane, and one of my favorite actors portraying an awesome character, I got Beachhead a sniper rifle (HK 417) a la Viggo Mortensen's Master Chief John James Urgayle in the final scene of the movie where the SEAL team enters Libya to provide exfiltration support to a Ranger team.

I'm glad I snagged two extra mags to fill his tactical vest as well (though I wish I had grabbed the extra pistol mags, as well - TA's all out now ).

Picked up an extra boot knife for Duke as well.

Red Ninja will be cool and all, but I want more military guys. Can't wait for Dusty, and whoever follows. Look forward to Hawk, but I hope we get another field ops guy before we get the top brass.

I wish I could own an HK 416. Sadly HK does not sell those to civilians. Their civilian version sucks balls from what I hear.

beachhead is the best of the line imo and is a home run in any line. his loadout is awesome and he has some really nice, well done pieces of gear. i'm looking foward to taking pics of him this weekend in the backyard (i.e. playing with him in the backyard). ordered a regular edition the other day so i can customize him a bit by switching out his boots, etc.

Contact their returns department. My Clone Wars Anakin had a black paint smear under his left eye and they just sent me a replacement head. They had me destroy the original head and send photographic proof which I'm sure they'll ask you to do as well.

Well, last few times I've done this for a Joe Ex, I've had to return the whole figure (I'm guessing because while I'm taking exception to the Ex head, someone else would be glad just to have it). I'll give it a shot Monday though.

Well I don't know if anyone has posted a picture the curled beret Beachhead comes with un-sewn.
If someone has I must have missed it.
I just took the stitching off and wet the beret and shaped it.
Just wait for it to dry..

Just got him today. He is awesome! One thing is that I bought extra mags from TA for the pistol and rifle and as I was putting him together and opening him up I definitely noticed the 4 rifle mags in the tray plus I put the 2 that I bought for him right with those. So that's 6 right there.

So I gear him up and put all the mags in, 3 on each side. Now I go to check out his rifle after awhile and I notice a mag not in the gun when I'm checking out all the features. I look around for it but can't find anything. My guess is that it just wasn't in the rifle in the first place and I just never noticed anything missing . Sucks cause I wanted him fully loaded, but oh well I guess sideshow forgot to put a mag in the gun. I'll just take one out from under his arms since it kind of restricts his movement there anyway.

Sh!ite happens.

Anyone know what the extra handle in the bottom left corner is for? I put it on the crossbow since I don't know. Seems like it was meant for it, but I'm not sure.

Question guys, how do you connect the bottom of the backpack to the vest ? I just got the parts from Toy Anxiety and it looks like there was a connector on the bottom of each side of the vest for the pack.
If you have any pictures just to make sure I'm doing this right would be great. Thanks !

Are you referring to the rail panel? You can put on the other side of the XCR should you decide to strip it down and remove the SOPMODs.

All of these parts that fit onto the rails will work on the crossbow as well. I used the extra hand guard on the opposite side of the rifle barrel and simply put the side optics/light in front of it. the light sits a little too close to the flash suppressor on the rifle, but I am OK with that.
