Tiem for a newb question, as I haven't been customizing as long as the rest of you vets. What does water treating do?

It's the same a regular clothing whenever you don't have a iron and want wrinkles out or the cloth to hang off the body a little more.

Just use water as a smoothener and to form it to the body some more.

Wow. He almost melted down as much as I did over it.

I can see where you are coming from though, my 6 year old nephew really likes the highly detailed Hasbro 12" "action figures" too. :wave

I still need to fix my tricycle but I may have to resort to another neighbor.

The only this thing needs are leg drop downs; a holster drop down for the right leg and some kind of fancy MOLLE pouch one for the left. But other than that, it's perfect out of the box.

I just finished with mine and I agree the elbow exposure drives me nuts! The sleeve strap pulled loose when I was messing with it, so the situation went from bad to worse. He is great overall, but he towers over the other cobras, he is so tall.

:dunno Prometheus = same options for boots as TTA. :dunno

Sort of, with the Pro you hae to find the "sweet spot" because the joint itself is like wrist peg. With a TT and a TType boot I can go ball to ball (HA!) joint so that was a plus. But yes technically the Pro peg does work with the T-1000 boot. :duff

For the pro you have to go out and find feet. The TTA comes with feet so that opens up more possibilities to use boots that don't have pegs. Not sure if that was his point, but thats one difference.

Mmm, nope the T-1000 is just a joint, no foot.

Yeah, but in the end going to a TTA didn't adversely affect that decision either...so :nana:. :lol

My problem is the TTA still doesn't resolve the ugly joint issue on the elbow that I have.

I think I'm going to buy a Kaustic KP01A someday and try it.

Joint-schmoint, it's hardly an issue.

I would've personally saved the TTA for something a little more exposed given the Pro looks near identical on the Viper. But meh, it's Deak's figure and he'll be selling it come Feb anyway so the swap to the TTA will probably get him more $$$. :lol

They sell those rubber sleeves for like $10-$20 on ebay? :huh

February? Pfft, more like January. :lol I need a second one of these stat!

Ugly joint? You hardly see the joint. And it's a action figure. The Kaustic body would be a total waste on a figure that the only exposed joint is a elbow.

I agree.

Yeah, I need a sidearm for him.

I put all my joes on TTs so they are pretty much the same height.

Customizer? Hardly, I just went to the Myatt School of Masterfutzery™! I'm too lazy to look up the link of rebelscum.com but basically treating your figure under warm water helps the fabric set better. Giving it more of a natural look to it. Really helps on Star Wars figures and some select Joes too. A word of warning though, the Vipers ascot/bandana thingy bleeds red dye. I mean big time. Don't want any purple neck Vipers running around. I found this out while I soaked the scarf/neckerchief/ascot and then decided not to use and left it to dry on a paper towel.

pfft. Like the Kaustic is any more expensive than a TTA...:lol Its all about preference. I'd rather fix the elbows than the boots.

Thanks for the insight, gentlemen. Knowing is half the...well, you know.

TTA has far more range of articulation.

This is very true. Sacrifice something for another. For all my talk I could get a Kaustic body switch it over and decide it wasn't worth the limited range and put it back on the pro. No harm done.

That said, I am 1000% satisfied with my recent swap of TTM instead of TTA on Storm Shadow . The arms look badass now and I am fine with losing a few poses. If I get bored switch it back. Not like the end of the world. :lol

What is a TTM? I know a TTA is the Truetype Advanced, which I love.
