I haven't been this excited about a figure since the last time I got this excited about a figure.

The gun, it is very good.

Looks f'n awesome!
I'm just hoping they include the goggles and have some red piping on the sides of his vest like the original.
By the way guys, that's not a SCAR it's a Bushmaster ACR:

I wonder how Sideshow has done his boots..

I hear ya man. There's just something about the look of these guys that I've always liked and honestly I pictured them to be a long way from being produced (before that 12 Days of Christamas preview anyway) if ever. Classic Vipers also weren't included in a lot of the reboots over the years (that I'm aware of) and so these guys almost feel more classically "vintage" than even the original troopers.
I'd be okay with SSC doing the boots closer to the Hasbro 25th anniversary update in this case. The original boot/kneepad combo is a bit strange.
No classic Vipers (I'm talking the design here, not the name) in Resolute, Rise of Cobra, or Renegades, and definitely not in Sigma Six nor the TF/Joe one shots in the early 2000's. Anywhere else they've appeared (like the Devil's Due garbage) I've been happily unaware of.
Sure will be even happier when Sideshow starts producing these in polystone PF's. This Viper looks cool, but even better if casted by stones...LOL!
Wonder if we get red grenades like teh original figure, or black grenades.
That's one thing I felt the trooper, officer, and sniper was missing: some frags.
