That looks pretty good with the shin guards painted black and the buckles painted silver!
I agree with EXOTICLEX about the red on the boots, I like it but it may not work with the rest being all black.
A lot easier to do this then to remove the guard and shave down the bump.
I'm interested in what this looks like more from the front.

Whay I would do is get another Viper body. They are only 10.00 at MD.

Be forewarned, I ordered one of them from MD and later sent a message asking if it comes with the neck post and if not, to include it on my order. They said it doesn't and that's all.
Lucky I have a True Type neck I had saved. It's bizarre that they have never offered the Viper's neck post for purchase.

I'd like to get some folks' opinion. I'm looking to swap my Viper's boots to either the Midnight Wesker boots or the T-1000 boots. Wesker's boots have that nice SciFi look, which I think the Viper has in general. What do you guys think?

I think the T1000 boots would look best as they have a similar look to the original minus the kneepad. Plus the feet are bigger. The feet on the Viper are too small for his size lol.

I plan to bud. I just received my Viper the other day, since I had him on Flex, so he's stripped down right now (I haven't got to dress him up and see how he looks with either set of boots yet). I usually do a body swap first on my Joes (none of my Joes or Cobras are on Pro bodies), then I get 'em geared up.

I agree with you EF. The more I've been looking at him with the T-1000 boots (borrowed the idea from Deak), the cleaner he looks. Yeah, I had to swap the feet, because of how small they look (just comes off odd, especially with that bigass helmet). I just wish there was a way I could incorporate the knee pads at the top of the boots.

Me neither. This is like Monkey Depot's fourth breakdown in the last two weeks, and I lost track of how many times TA's broken the Viper down.

It's been nice. I've been able to scrap together pretty much 2 full Vipers for around $50 a pop. Don't know why I am troop building, but damnit I am.

This is all Sideshow except the plate carrier, grenade launcher, holster, pouch, and neck post.

As bad ass as these guys are, they're still no match for the Joes.

The Viper was my favorite growing up, and this figure is just fantastic!
I really hope Sideshow does make a variant of this guy, same blue uniform as before just this time with a sold black plate carrier, red panels that can be attached to the sides and shoulders of the carrier so that it matches the original figure better, new all black non-armored/non-baby feet boots, and lastly a PKM with pouches so they can call him a Saw Viper.
The original Saw Viper looked like crap so I hope they make this guy some day.

Looks great! I've got the same Beretta on my Viper. I need that Milkor. Monkey Depot only had it in tan before, but now it's gone (they had it briefly in black as well). The only thing I'd suggest is getting the shorter neck plug.

Yeah, we definitely need a SAW Viper. You're right, the original design is too "far out" to work now. Hopefully, Sideshow can design a nice looking upgrade, because I don't just want a re-purposed Viper.
