we'll see another SE before the big "Pause" ... the question is when this will happen.

Based on both the length of time it took to sell out the Flint exclusive (and to a lesser extent, Firefly) and the length of time that the troops have stayed up on their site, I'm beginning to wonder if this line is losing some steam.

Word to Sideshow--Zartan is the key to your success.

This line has quite a few home runs in it before it dies... Destro, Zartan, CC with helmet, Original Snake Eyes, etc. SS should release at least a few figures between each of the top sellers giving us at least 10-12 more figures.... Of course, this is SS we're talking about..... Expect a "pause" next month

There's absolutely no merit to that frame of thought whatsoever. When we start not hearing anything, or the line cuts back to yearly announcements, then you can worry. Right now, it seems like we've had more announcements and releases than the SW line in the past few months.

Well, FF was a letdown and Flint, well he's a solid character but not one I would ever imagine as a super seller (hence the lack of a PPO)....

Both of the exclusives have sold out. The only reason the regular commander is still available is a testament to SS's dirty pool for the CCC. The officer is still available because he's basically just a rehash of the trooper who's still sold out. So personally, I'll wait to see if any of the main characters are still available once they're released. And if Firefly resumes that trend (I don't think he will), we all know why, but Flint shouldn't.

IF this line has lost any steam, its the price point and I guess that could be said for all lines, the economy isnt going to get any better, first thing to go is collectibles and such

Uh. . .I never speculated strongly one way or the other about whether or not a Joe would be announced during Spooktacular that I recall, and certainly never figured the line was over because we didn't see much.

Anyway, those even remotely familiar with Sideshow's "on hold" tactics know that we're not even close to that with the Joes yet.

I think we've all gotten used to instant sell outs, but a lot of the time those instant sell outs come back for second chance. The fact we haven't seen characters like Storm Shadow or Duke go up for second chance is a good thing. The troopers are one thing, but if major characters are, that is when it is time to panic.

So take a chill pill. If we are lucky, we might even see another Joe for Toy Fair! Might be a long shot with Flint just announced, but we know Beachhead is in the works so we could finally see him!

I dont think these figs need sell out anyway, I think the margin is so good that they do well as is and thats why the line is going strong.

Not to get off topic but who buys these Charlie Brown, Disney figures man? Enough with the Marvel statues. Geez, they bring out a new Marvel statue every week but have to wait every 4 months for a new GI Joe figure. ANd GI Joe have tons of figures to choose from.

I still don't understand why some of the posts related to that remain while others are deleted. But I guess I'll not get an answer and this post will be mysteriously "disappeared" as well.
