i was lucky with both pairs of glasses but i did have to open up the holes in the side of her head with a pin to get them to sit well.

This figure is amazing. Great job Sideshow. Only thing bothering me is that on her reg headscult mine has what appears to be the lipstick paint above her mouth. Haven't noticed anyone else's having this. Can anyone confirm? The exc head seems to have a tiny hint of it but doesn't bother me as much. Thinking I should contact SSC for a replacement.

Also the rectangular glasses are crooked.

Is that a paint rub on her forehead ?

I just received some parts in the post from this figure from Toy Anxiety.
Just hands and head.
I'm very interested to hear people's thoughts on this(And i apologise if this is retreading an old topic as i have only just joined this thread).
Anyone think this figure is bigger than other female figures? I might be imagining it but the headsculpt seems bigger than any other female figure heads i own. I appreciate that it may be the recent jump to "true" 1/6 scale we have been seeing with a few HT figures spilling over to SS's production too.
My intention with buying the head was as a base for a Wonder Woman custom, so she will scale very well with the Cavill Superman.
Just curious to hear what everyone else thinks.

Brace yourselves for a stupid question.

This is my first sixth scale fig, and the idea of having two portraits is super cool and all, but how the !%!^ do you swap them out?

Just muscle them off, or is there a trick to it? I was pulling pretty hard and no joy.

Halp!

If it's a struggle use a hair drier to warm the head up, then with one hand bracing above the shoulders(And so, pushing *down* on the body), grip the headscupt firmly with your other hand, making sure to apply all the pulling pressure under the chin as i expect the hair might pull off if you pull that.

Baroness Mini Review

Somehow Sideshow made this sixth scale Baroness better than their "Premium" format Baroness. This really shouldn't be the case but it is. And like I mentioned maybe here but definitely on the other forum, that Baroness PF was perfect when Sideshow showed the prototype. But then they changed the pose, added those bad boots, and clothes. So we have this figure. Which is awesome. I have her posed next to my Ant Lucia Baroness print. I'm waiting on the Scarlett figure now to complete the setup. I would take a pic but things are a mess...

There are very few things that I have a problem with and they are for the most part small nit pick things. The straight tip boots are kind of odd. But I don't know if that's cartoon or toy art accurate. Also, the suit fits so tight on her arms that you can see the joint. But it is a figure and I've seen worse. Her neck joint from the side kind of bugs me. Hot Toys figures have this too but it's more apparent on Baroness. I don't know if the neck is too small or the bottom part of her face is too big. But it looks strange. The biggest problem (unless I missed it) is that she has a hole on one side for the glasses but not on the other. So it's difficult to get the perfect placement.

A lot of people mentioned the price for this figure. It is a lot and in Hot Toys territory. However, I think the packaging on Baroness is better than the packaging on the Hot Toys Black Widow Avengers figure. But that's the only standard Hot Toys figure I own so I can't be entirely sure. Sideshow went with a realistic cartoon look for Baroness and I think it's cool. But she is overpriced if you are only getting the normal. But I can't imagine that many Baroness fans will just want the normal. She should come with both portraits and the additional stand that's coming out in a few weeks. Her weapons could also be more functional. It's a small thing but Black Widow's guns had a bit of function.

I still want to see Sideshow attempt a Baroness maquette. But with all the different color variants on the PF, I have a feeling that they aren't even considering a maquette at this point. We should have a Baroness vs Scarlett or Lady Jaye diorama at least hinted at by now. But if a Scarlett figure is the same quality as this Baroness figure I'll be pleased. Perhaps not pleased enough to forget about a Scarlett maquette which should happen but still pleased with a good setup.

I agree. I nixed the Baroness PF after she arrived with some QC issues but I kept the 1/6. Much more happy with the 1/6, they did a great job. She IS about 30 dollars overpriced though but still a great fig.

I had a similar issue with mine. It looked like she had a mustasche. the inkwash from the lips had been smearered all over her upper lip. wiping it away... left her with what KINDA looks like a 5-0-clock shadow.

Mine was also missing the Mac11, and her rifle had no scope/red dot/whatever.

They haven't announced a Joe dio since 2010, the Zartan/Flint dio is going on its 4 year anniversary of being in stock this summer; I wouldn't hold my breathe on any dio announcements, it seems to be a dead line.
