Yup we're in the same boat. Taxes, shipping costs.... just too much for this figure. I'm about 50-50 canceling the order.

Wonder what happened. I remember when I started collecting 1:6 they offered free domestic shipping. Then it went to flat rate $10 for domestic. Now it's $20. Wtf.

I kept it only for the EX item. Sad part is I pay for the pack-out too (extra $10) as I've had multiple boxes beat to heck from SoCal to NorCal.

Yeah, because an oversized hock and giant Barbie buttons looks so much better. The only thing I did like about the older one is the seemless wrist.

They both look good to me. I personally prefer the old one having faux buttons instead of just snaps and 4 of them. It's more movie accurate. Also, the old figure's bulk and height, forearm to hand sculpt, neck and head sculpt are really well done IMO. Neither have the hockey mask perfect, in fact the new one looks more like the remake Jason's mask. With the new figure's busty chest and slim waist it looks like Barbie LOL. Nothing a little padding wouldn't fix though. The price though yikes! On the one hand I want this to do well so more horror figures are made. On the other hand I worry they are pricing these way too high. Without the face sculpt and few accessories, I can't bring myself to buy it for $200+. If it was more in the $120 to even $150 range I would consider it.

About 12 years ago it was 9 bucks. So double but not drastic. Shipping charges have jumped up from all carriers. Plus this also includes a handling charge I would guess, so it's not a straight up shipping charge. But still, people will shake their fist at the sideshow website while still clicking the submit button.

Obviously if someone isn't hung up on the exclusive they can get the figure and shipping charges cheaper elsewhere.

I'll be having a new head s mask sculpted so I thought I'd take the plunge and expose this ....

My verdict head and mask mediocre but ok for the money 4 of of 10

Body and tailoring solid 9 out of 10 .

^^^ It's bs there is no getting around ssc shipping scam. BBTS Charged me only 12$ to ship ash with UPS, and they nicely double boxed it and everything for free.

That body looks pretty good for a ssc body. Wonder why he looks so skinny when dressed then.

To be fair in hand he doesn't the body and fit is spot on for the part 3 man only gripe is the sleeves could of been shorter.
