Thanks. Not a bad idea as I hate that sculpt but I am always reluctant to sell bits of a figure set because I am afraid to harm the figures resale value down the line. Which makes little sense because I have no intention of ever selling off my OT Star Wars stuff

Nice ! Its a great feeling when you can get a sold out figure for less or near retail, and certainly lower than ebay.

Unmodded I found it didn't look too bad on the stormtrooper body for some reason but the Dumb and Dumber hairline is probably what sinks it more than anything. The mods I did focussed on trying to add hair over the D&D hairline and tweaking the eyebrows and mouth.

I cracked the hair off it initially to see if a new hairpiece might help, but there's something weird (almost zombie) about the face itself as well, even though it's actually a pretty decent likeness to Hamill - more than the HT Luke farmboy IMO. And the face paint apps are really pretty good, especially for Sideshow.

And to be fair, the unhelmeted headed looked off even as a hand-painted prototype.

I had never heard of them before someone posted here a few days ago. Not sure they are as trusted as PC (and I'm still a little suspicious some orders may get cancelled due to "out of stock" or something because generalgrievous and I watched the price and it was going all the way up to AU$465 then down to the AU$265 in the space of a few hours,) but I also don't know anything bad about them.

Regardless, I'm really excited to see so many people scoring this fig, and for a decent enough price.

Jumped back on the site and I noticed the price fluctuate too. Possibly a glitch on their site. Ran it through the shopping cart and it comes out the same price as earlier.

Got to put it in your cart and then change the currency, also adding shipping will give the final price.

For US, this thing is still nearly $250 shipped.

At POPCULTCHA I got him for about $208.89 as I had $45 in paypal balance and with there sale going about 20% off of action figures it was like $248 and some change.

I’m with you there actually, for the same reason. It’s the only figure I’ve done that with, and I hemmed and hawed about it first, but as TaliBane described in more eloquent detail, it’s a weird one. The cut of the hair is the main issue, but the detail is also lacking.

Awesome guys. Dunno if you pulled the trigger Wor Gar but great that a few of us finally got this guy for a reasonable price. Considering he was $270 plus say $20 for shipping at SS. Circa $248 or so is reasonable.

$259 after credit card fees if it makes passing any easier. I'm still optimistic that hot toys will make a pilot Luke but no idea when or which version.

With the TLJ gravy train just leaving the station and the long-rumored Han Bespin seemingly next OT hero in line, I wouldn't have thought a HT Luke X or Luke Snowspeeder would happen within 12 months. The peg-warming SSC Luke X surely couldn't help force the decision either - the SSC Luke Snowsp's sellout is harder to judge because it seems they made way less because of the warehouse full of Luke X's.

But who knows, maybe TLJ will bring a wave of Luke love that HT will have to deliver on, and they've already done Luke's #1, 2 and 3 OT outfits (Jedi, farmboy, Bespin) plus two more minor outfits (Endor and stormie,) really only leaving Hoth, X-Wing and Snowspeeder. And HT do seem to be going down the ESB road to some degree, and Luke Hoth and Snowspeeder do match up with HT Snowie.

Dagobah hasn't been done though, and you know a V.2 Luke Bespin connecting to the HT Yoda and HT ESB Vader would be a gargantuan seller - certainly more so than any orange-suit Lukes. You can almost feel the pent-up demand for a V.2 Luke Bespin.

Also there may be a lot more people in this hobby since HT started on the Star Wars figures. (Like me) who missed out on DX Luke. So a V2 would be great.
