Nope. Couldn't do it at $248.

At $220 I'd start considering. But that doesn't change the fact that it looks like a great figure.

I couldn't either. Emptied my cart. I'll wait for Hot Toys' version in a couple of years.

I just hope I got one. it was there last night when I ordered it and when I looked for it on the site it was gone. if the figure is that good from sideshow I know hot toys will make some changes to it for sure. head sculpt of luke well that`s to be seen.

Same deal here, I can wait on an HT X-wing Luke (version I want). Dropped a few figures in the cart and was very tempted to spend money last night but had to walk away. Glad my wallet is still intact... for now.

My apartment burned up a couple of months ago, and most of my collection was either destroyed or heavily damaged.
One of my favorite figs was Snowspeeder Luke:

Even after heavy soaking and scrubbing, the jacket was faded and the helmeted sculpt was blackened and unusable.

But after dyeing the jacket and a little repainting, he makes for a pretty solid “Dagobah Landing” version:

I had a house fire in 2014, really only smoke damage in the basement, luckily most of my figures were upstairs but a few were downstairs, they were just thrown away, except for jabba and throne, which I recently tried to clean. I got most of the soot off. I hope everything turns out ok for you.

Sorry to hear about the fire too. Yikes!
Mine was just delivered today. It’s a really nice figure, but man, am I glad I picked him up for AU$270 and not the $420 listed price! Just doesn’t warrant that hefty price for what’s in the box.

Yeah very sorry to hear about the fire. That would suck big time. But Luke certainly looks well salvaged. Good job man !

I agree. I was shocked when I first saw this pic thinking what if my correction burned.

Wouldn't it normally come under house & contents insurance ? I guess it depends which country you live in.

But for me it's more the fact of not being able to get those older rare figures back.

Terrible news about the collection and the home in general, hope all things are able to be replaced.

It’s a nightmare to get insurance to pay claims on personal items like that. You need provide receipts and estimates of the value of lost items. Obviously if you have pieces that are worth more than you paid it gets much more difficult to get a claim. I have a friend that lost everything and it has taken a year to finally get a check and just a very stressful process of producing the receipts from everything they purchased down to a pack of bubble gum to get the claims paid.

Many times for personal property like that you need a rider cause regular policies don’t cover high value collectibles or art, I have one on my home policy. Always keep receipts and pics of your collection when possible.

Very sorry to hear about the fires Dr.Mirakle and medicom! The most important thing is that you and everyone in the apartment and house are okay. But I’m glad you were able to make the most out of your Snowspeeder Luke.

I`m sorry to hear that as well. I got charged for my snowspeeder luke today from POPCULTCHA :yess: the grand total was $213 not bad cheaper then it originally was when it got first released. thanks to the 20% off and $45 from my paypal balance.

In my case, I had to go through progressive, who actually outsourced my policy to homesite.

I can't speak for anyone else, but insurance is kind of a hassle in the sense you pay into it, but when you do file a claim, they fight you. In the end, I had to hire a public adjustor, he made more progress in 1 day than I made in 6 months, but it cost me 17%. On the other hand, Homesite compensated me for the value of collectibles today, not what I paid retail for. So the lesson is if you're not a lawyer, find a friend who is I guess.

cant wait to get this in hand to see how it looks in person.

Me either. I should get mine tomorrow.

Feeling strange about this one. Was a figure I wanted, them talked myself out of because of price. Also headsculpt is not the best, but the rest looks great. Bought as a totally unexpected impulse purchase as it was heavily reduced so very mixed feelings.
