Thanks! I scaled up from 1/12 for the detail in photos. The helmeted sculpt is great, unhelmeted is a little dead-eyed.

I came across this nice repaint of SSC's unhelmeted headsculpt.

Little heavy handed perhaps but definitely a big improvement, brings the likeness out more.

Yeah... Does seem quite heavy but it certainly highlights just how much SSC's flat paint apps have an effect on a sculpt's likeness.

It's nice but a slight cheat with the harsh lighting - even the middling HT sculpts come to life more with the harsh light. I'd like to see it in more flat/even lighting. The sculpt has a decent Hamill likeness - more than people give it credit for - but there's not as much detail as HT gets.

I also think that lighting hides one of the other flaws - the Dumb and Dumber fringe.

Definitely looks better than the factory paint apps. I think one aspect that really makes a difference is with the repainted eyes.

Factory eyes were a bit on the "beady" side.

True, there was no addition size and seemed most people, including me, were waiting for in hand pictures before buying and got shut out.

Yeah, they were out - my guess is its a return or they found one or two.

They are like TA - seem to be out then one will become available for no apparent reason as if they found it in the stockroom.

Certainly cheaper than eBay and it's only maybe $20 more than you'd pay to Sideshow if it was instock originally (and you're CA so there would have been sales tax added in there too) What are you waiting for?
