What's the best jacket to use for a custom - the ceremonial Luke from Sideshow or the ceremonial Luke jacket from Hasbro?

I used the Hasbro for my Walrusman custom (which I think is the same pattern as Luke,) and it has some nice attributes but mine's so heavily modded it's barely recognizable. Not a huge fan of that SSC Luke Ceremonial jacket unmodded, but it's the best if you don't want a lot of work.

One other issue - the hasbro pleather jackets are commonly peeling (my Walrusman jacket had peeled.)

I would say the sideshow. What custom are you making?

Snowspeeder Luke! This set doesn't offer anything that can't be found anywhere else except the jacket. When it comes out I will probably buy it and sell off everything else. But if my own version looks decent I won't even bother.

I realised that the sideshow X-wing pilot outfit is just a bit boring in terms of poseability, so I'm using that plus DX07 parts.

I used the side show jacket for my custom but everything else was hasbro cause the SS pilot Luke had not come out yet.

Sold it a while ago in anticipation of this one. Hope it's good.

I wonder if their "revisiting" the accessories with this figure? Seems strange that we haven't seen him at any of the SSC promo stands this year.

No it's actually the Tomy Luke X-Wing helmet. They had a line of Star Wars helmets with stands. Some were nice. Some not so nice. This one was a great alternative to the hasbro before the SS came out.

It is an unusual way for them to refer to him.

The previous two delay notices I received, for 4-Lom and Jason, just stated the characters' names.

The Ant Man 14 day notice says the weird "Actor Likeness" as well. FYI

"Actor Likeness" may just be an placeholder in their email template. Looks like ep.VII Han & Chewie have the same annotation in the subject and body. Maybe someone churned the notice out w/out proofing.
