Awesome. I hope it looks good!

What's interesting is that it says there's gonna be a Sideshow Snowtrooper Commander. Do they mean the Hot Toys one that was on display at a couple shows last year?

It listed under Sideshow's 1/6 figures. Hot Toys was listed as a collaborator with Sideshow on a lot of the armored Clone figures, so this is not surprising.

I'll be there - gonna try to snap a bunch of pics of the Sideshow/Hot Toys stuff :x

Looking forward to your pic's and impressions of this figure, I've got enough reward points to pay for this so I'll just pay for shipping. :yess:

But HT already presented a completely done prototype of the snow commander. It's kinda weird that they now relabel it sideshow's.

So Sideshow put up some pictures from Celebration but they aren't showing off the head sculpt. Only the sculpt covered by the helmet. Wondering if that's not a great sign.

Just got this with reward points. Final cost: $30 shipped. Thanks to Spook and all the Freaks who shared the codes!

Yeah, just did the same. SSC sent me an extra bonus $15 in RP so finally pulled the trigger. Got it for $120 in the end - very happy.

Special thanks to screamingmetal who lined me up with my first Spook RP and intro'ed me to the whole thing (had no clue about the RP giveaways before that.):clap

Where are you seeing the pics? I can never find anything on the SSC site.

Looks pretty shrouded in darkness for a picture they're putting up.

Would like to see more pics.
Certainly looks better than the disappointing Snowtrooper Commander.

I would never display this without the helmet on tbh and the likeness works in this scenario.

This version is display without the helmet to emulate the scenes when he first arrives on Dagobah so I'd like the sculpt to be good. For $270 it damn well better be good anyways.

Will reserve judgment until more pics but that does not look like the vast improvement that I hoped over the xwing pilot. Jacket material looks wrong with no weathering whatsoever. Helmet doesn't look to be much improved either. But the proto sure looked good:lol

The picture is a bit grainy so hard to say on the jacket at this point, but the helmet weathering is a bit of a disappointment. The proto had very nice weathering that really looked great, whereas this production figure has the same "random blasts from a airbrush" look that the X-Wing version had, though this does look slightly better than that effort.

I agree. It's nice, but not $270 nice.

I would like to see some better pictures though.

Unless it is just a really bad picture, I might have to pass on this figure. Will have to wait and see what the actual released figure is like.

To me that's a bit telling though. Why shoot such a poor quality picture for display on your official website if you're proud of the work? Also why isn't the extra sculpt on display? Glad I didn't take a gamble on this figure despite liking the look. If anything I might pick up the Red 5 figure instead if it's ever discounted again.

Agree about the picture quality but from what I can tell this is a $200ish figure quality wise. I just don't see that significant effort was made to justify the ludicrous asking price. The weathering of the helmet is certainly improved but not jaw dropping and I am very disappointed that it still appears a very wrong shade of red. I sure hope the jacket is being betrayed by the picture because to me it doesn't look like the pic below. I hope I am wrong but now more than ever this is looking like a decent but laughably overpriced figure.
