I'd never pose sparkly saber in that get-up anyway.

They give him a lit saber, but not the grappling gun that got him up there in the first place so he could use it. No bomb either.

It looks suspiciously like the same sculpt that came with the X-Wing Luke.

Maybe it's a stand in because the actual (scarred) sculpt isn't ready. Which would explain why they haven't shown the second one.

Rebelscum finally posted the Sideshow images from celebration. Eyes seem better than the Luke X-wing figure, but details still seem a bit soft if this is production.

If that's the production fig (which I assume it is, because it differs in many ways from the proto in the SSC pics) it looks pretty damn spectacular.

Or... maybe it's not the production fig.

They must not be very proud of the alternate sculpt either, otherwise I would think it would have been on display at celebration to help market this figure......but then again they did show that abomination of a snowtrooper commander

I asked. They said they just decided to display the helmeted head "instead" of the no-helmet head-sculpt. Not sure what that means - if anything. It comes with the release, they should have shown it.

That's not the sculpt that came with the X-Wing Luke, that's the sculpt that came with the X-Wing Luke preview pics.

Any way to pull the visor farther down on the X-Wing Luke or is that fixed in place? Just wondering what to expect on this new helmet.

No. It would have been a stupidly obvious inclusion so it makes sense SSC would leave it out, but I can't imagine a lot of people would pose him pointing something that isn't a lightsaber or pistol (though I definitely would use the grappling gun.)

It's Sideshow. It'll just be the same Red Five helmet used over.

Eh, unless it's a light-up LED saber, even without that Sideshow "crystal meth effect," pretty much all the clear plastic sabers look like sticks of plastic to me. The day HT figures out how to do a cathode saber will be pretty interesting.

I remember being fascinated by the grappling gun scene as a kid, it's one of the scenes that made luke a really cool hero. Shameful it isn't included with this figure at this price point. But it would have required a smidge of extra work on the part of ssc so to hell with it. Dumb business decision too, if it was the exclusive knowing me I would already have it preordered. As it is I'll be waiting an extra 12-18 months for a sub $200 ebay deal.

Someone should make a custom one. The grappling hook was the best part of the great 3.75" figure. Hasbro knew what was up.
