In the past, changes to Flex pay payment schedules haven't affected ship dates of regular orders.

Though their email does always state:

Our FlexPay schedules are designed to coincide with the item's arrival into our warehouse, so that the final payment is charged and your item ships out to you as soon as we take possession of it. However, delays do occur periodically in production or transport schedules that require us to alter your original payment plan.

Yeah, I recall with a SSC figure a year or two ago I e-mailed them after people said their Flex payments were shifted and they said the Flex thing isn't indicative for full-paid customers - and on that occasion the fig shipped as expected.

We'll see I guess. The issue is, this was already delayed, right?

Unfortunately yep

What happens is they predict when it's coming and shirt the FP schedules. If it arrives earlier then they email those on FP and offer them to pay out early or keep to the scheduling. It's happened to me a couple of times where an item was "delayed" and then came earlier and I paid off early to get it to ship immediately.

I had ten minutes spare today so I tried futzing this guy, doing up all the straps etc. Ten minutes later I gave up and just took the damn photos. I need smaller fingers!

I put my order in with the extra reward points. I was torn between this and the Iron Man MK 5. I figure the MK 5 will be around for some time that I can save up future reward points for him. Since Snowspeeder Luke is one of my favorite Luke costumes, that it's shipping soon, and it'll be awhile before Hot Toys gets to their Snowspeeder version, now is the right time for this.
But damn this figure is expensive, Even with $145 off, it's still going to cost me (with $19 shipping) $143 more! :thud:

That's better than the $250 or so I have to spend after the NRD.

Rebelscum finally posted the Sideshow images from celebration. Eyes seem better than the Luke X-wing figure, but details still seem a bit soft if this is production.

Yep I'm pretty happy with that although can't seem to see the scar above the lip which was on the proto sculpt? Can't see why the would remove that.

not trying to nit pick here, because I know that's all it seems we ever do these days.... but is it just me, or is that lightsaber like... mad long? Good for you Luke. Good for you.

So are we sure this is a different head sculpt, and hence the possible reason for delay ?? Colouring on the face looks lighter than the original. But that could be just lighting ?? I don't know. Need someone with Photoshop skills to do a proper side by side comparison.

Lightsaber on this shot looks very short, but that is just the perspective. Maybe he was just "excited" to be at Celebration ?? :)

It looks really good in those Rebelscum pictures, and those are under some extremely harsh light at that.

True, but it just goes to show how overpriced this is, it's still expensive with that hefty discount. I feel even if they match HT in quality, it'll still be $20 more than it should be at full price, and it's also missing the grapple gun. I hope Sideshow includes a surprise accessory with this, pretty major oversight.

The details of the helmet and sculpt look really muted and not nearly as nice as the proto. Which isn't unusual for sideshow but they want almost $300 shipped for this one. That's the problem here.

They must not be very proud of the alternate sculpt either, otherwise I would think it would have been on display at celebration to help market this figure......but then again they did show that abomination of a snowtrooper commander :dunno
