In the film the Battle droids have the blasters attached to the side of the backpack... but this was not a feature of the Sideshow figure. I imagine the only way it would have worked would be for them to have added magnets to both, or added innaccurate notches.

It's a small issue, but would have been a nice feature and added to display options.

They can be placed between the shoulder and backpack on the other droids, they're not secure but will stay if balanced, I had my STAP droid displayed like this before I had to box everything up.

Just got this, comes in a fun little box, but really disapointed in the yellow markings especially on the chest, mine is really dull and hardly noticable, nothing like the proto pics. Not sure if its just mine or others though.

Qiuck pic with mega flash.

One thing I did notice when finding references for painting the protos for these is that the color and tint of the droids seems to shift a lot throughout the movie. Sometimes they look more tan like the figures, and sometimes they look almost bone white. But when I saw props from the making of the Droids, they looked pretty tan.

I guess I'll just have to enhance the belly circle on mine when I get it.

Love the cute box, but like others, I'm disappointed in the dull yellow. I think the problem may lie more with the dark tan color of the droid, which OOM-9 seemed to be brighter. Honestly, none of this is a big problem. I'll probably just slap some brighter yellow on and call it a day. I bought this guy with reward points, anyway.

After looking at my proto paint pics again, the problem seems to be that they didn't use a vibrant enough yellow, and didn't apply it solidly enough, so it's just fading into the body color.

Apparently really depends on the lighting, too. I took these photos with no flash, under natural lighting from my window. Now I can understand why the battle droids in the film seem to change color so often.

Got mine yesterday... no pics yet, but the piece is great overall. The only issue is (like others) the yellow gets kind of lost in low-light. But aside from the yellow not being enough of a contrast the rest is great!

I had no issue with loose or stuck limbs and it kind of feels like this figure is just a touch better produced than even the first set of Battle Droids... totally worth the price :rock

Oh I see what your saying now. I use wax to hold items I want in place.

Same here I used mostly points. I think it cost me under $15 ship. I cannot match paint colors very well (You should see the colors of my office). If anyone knows that color the yellow is on its chest can you let me know. I guess I could just pull a yellow and paint it. I may do that. Hmmm come to think about it. What are the other colors, I see me getting more of them and painting them.
