Me too. I think he's essential for a 1982 themed display (duh) but even as a kid who started collecting Joes in 1983 the green shirts never really appealed to me other than Flash. I had Clutch and Hawk but that was just because of the vehicles they came with.

I don't really like SSC's Bayformer take on Stalker and the issues with Commando SE need not be repeated which leaves R&R in a bit of a 1982/green shirt vacuum IMO. I'm preferring to focus my funds on more of a later series theme now that the new visored SE and CG are looking so awesome.

I just buy Joes, and pass on all the Hot Toys.

I buy loose parts and make my own figure.

I'll buy HT loose parts. And often loose Joe stuff as back ups for mods to others.

With all the re releases HT has done I don't view them as a collectible company anymore. Hopefully SSC isnt thinking of going down the same path..just to make a few more $$$ here and there.

Yeah, that thing does sick. I wish they would change it or find better Velcro.

1/6 Velcro leaves a lot to be desired and Sideshow's in particular. That and a knife that takes up and entire lower leg comes up short in the believability department.

Man, RocknRoll is badass! my fav joe right now

the only fail is Sideshow needs to put more figures out per year! each joe just makes me want more releases sooner

Settled on a pose.

This figure oozes attitude. Sculpted arms, solid paint apps and no ratchet knees. Couldn't ask for more.

Now bring on Zartan!

Master futzer. :lecture Great pose and photo, Peeness, as always. :bow

Just opened R&R. He's right there with Beachhead as my two favorite Joe's! Sideshow is beginning to turn me away from there Star Wars line and go all out JOE!

anyone got any experience with the doctor figures metal ammo belts? The rubber ones that come with RocknRoll are just kinda blah to me.

Doooo it....Doooo it....Doooo it......

Seriously. The only Star Wars 6th scale figures that I really like are the clones and storm/sandtroopers. Boba Fett looks great(will see if in hand is as good) Other than that there they are hit or miss IMO. Now, even though I grew up with the original GI JOE I find Sideshow's take on them to be fantastic. I only wish I jumped on these from the beginning. Now I have to play catch up and find several of the earlier figures.

I don't see how one rationalizes buying the same figure over and over even after price increases. They do realize it 's just paint that's different with a minor tweak in HS don't they?

The velcro straps on my leg knife don't stay together one bit. :lol

Knees and wrist pins are a bit soft, but beats having ratchet knees. I like how the upper arms are more muscular than HT/ACI.

Agree with both. That "valcro" is terrible.

And the knees on mine are the same. It feels like they are bending when you pose him, but still 100% better than those horrid ratchet kness :monkey4
