Statue SSC Storm Comiquette

Give me this one here in PF or comiquette format, and I'm going to give it some really consideration. Until then, this Storm trumps this Storm hands down.

Well you guys have to remember ther will be a pf. It makes no sense to have 2 statue in the same style/costume/artist interpretation. Historically the most iconic looks 4 Storm have been the mohawk/goth look and the jim lee look.

If this was the Classic Storm of 20 to 35 years ago...SELLOUT!...Who ever chose this design was( there are several not so nice reasons)...I dont get it ..Who is deciding these designs?...A kid?..What the hell were they thinking?......maybe to SS is too big for their britches now?...experimenting?...California thing?...owner likes Punk?...crazy?...It's a great piece for those that love the above mentioned or the books that she looked like this or if you just think it looks cool...For me its classic or none...my personal preference...I bet most over the age of 35 agree with me too...

How about because there are fans of that style that deserve to have it as much as folks who are all over the classic style. (Me personally I don't care for either style as I think the character is kind of lame)

Also thankfully Sideshow is a company that realizes all ages collect them. Oh I'm not 35 either.

Sideshow now that they are a huge success now has the balls to release this I gotta admit...But no way this will trump(for most fans anyway) the Classic Storm...NO WAY!...Sales could be crap on this one unless super low ES...A well done Classic Storm...SOLD OUT!

It really doesn't have to do with Balls its about hitting all markets. You know they will get to the most classic version but this can be limited and hit that market that likes this or both. Actually, with the right ES its pretty smart thing to do. As far as trumping and all that I admit the Jim Lee version is the classic look that I remember seeing the most over the years.

Byrne/Cockrum is THE classic Storm. AN AH! piece would be the best statue of that version. He has an incredible attention to detail as far as making the statues of his line comic accurate and very hot!

If this was Sideshow of 6-7 years ago...no way this would be released...bigger company can take more chances that's it...Low Es # is crucial if this piece is to make it

IMO, the original Dave Cockrum designed, and made even more popular by John Bryne, Storm costume is the most iconic and I hope we see it in the X-Men PF line.

Does make me wonder, it is an odd choice. Im sure SS will make an amazing Storm when the time is right. I think they are just having fun with this one.

I really wish SS would have simply gone with classic Storm. Lots of people have been waiting for her comiquette and lots now have been let down. Sure it's edgy and not what we would have expected, but is that really a good thing. As collectors we love our favorite marvel characters and would like to see them stay true to their classic roots. I would have much rather gotten classic storm now and then a punk rock storm later down the road, but I think going this route the demand will be much smaller for this piece.

I don't know about that. I can remember them taking some chances back in the day. Before that 6-7 years ago I mean.

That said, I do like this Comiquette, but I won't be buying it since it's 1:5. Maybe she could have done with a slightly smaller jaw, but imo that's a really pretty face overall, why all the hate? You don't like it? Fine, hold on for the PF, like I will, but this CQ looks like a very nice statue to me.

Looks cool. The most annoying people on earth are not those people who beg for money at the ATM machine it's those people who believe that Jim Lee drew everyone best.

I hope the PF version is Byrne or Cockrum.

Im gonna state the obvious. The Gambit PF is done so are the cyclops, rogue in the same manner. Why would it make sense from a continuity perspective to deviate from the rest? A Storm PF modelled after what you would want makes no sense because lets face it .. the customer is not always right in fact most customers are idiots. So pray tell why on earth would sideshow listen to u? Its a given that the pfs are or will be modelled after jim lees style. Also the design for the storm comiquette was revealed a year ago so I dont see how this can come as a disappointment.
