unless they camo the mask sculpt...I'll be passing on this

I think a head with a sculpted hood might have worked better. Of course, the futzing on the SDCC figures is horrible, so that may play a role, but he looks kinda goofy there IMO. Hopefully there will be a wire in there like there was with Zartan.

After looking at it some more, another thing I'd liked changed, other than the shape of the sculpt (& adding camo to it), might be the colour & pattern shape of the overall camo. Have maybe 3 colour shades, instead of two. Kinda like this:

The Storm Shadow-as-Cobra thing doesn't really bother me. Yeah, the original character in the outfit this one sorta kinda references was not Cobra, but Sideshow is clearly picking and choosing what it is about the look and characters that they want to keep. Once you start going down a path of accepting the decision to mix and match looks from different periods in the character's history (Devil's Due and classic V2 Storm Shadow) along with other "modern" updates like the backpack, gloves, sneaker sandal things, then it's so different from what came before that I don't think anything associated with them matters.

Sideshow, most certainly, likes to do their own thing sometimes. :lol

And to be honest; nothing's wrong with expressing yourself. I suppose.

I agree with pretty much everything you've said.

What an abomination. :lol

but you're right; the three shade camo does look good.

So by your rational, it would've been perfectly acceptable to give Zartan a neon blue astronaut suit and tuck him in BattleForce 2000.

No, but if they had done that and then gave him a Cobra symbol, I wouldn't complain about the fact that he had the Cobra symbol despite not officially being a member of Cobra. At that point, it wouldn't matter what they did because he would obviously be some lame Sideshow "interpretation" of a character that I wanted little to do with. Same as Stormie here. He's not V2 Stormie. He's whatever the guys at Sideshow imagine him to be.

Your comparison here, like your logic, is flawed. Zartan works for Cobra, so that wouldn't be a stretch. What they've done here, is like Sideshow giving Zartan Joe insignia and by what you stated, you'd be cool with that.
