So this is the first human/non helmeted character that I've seen in a while from SS that I might be tempted by, what kind of final paint app can we expect do you think? What's the current best human release paint-wise. That's the only thing holding me back right now. What has been the most impressive human paint job of recent years.

The only SW human heads I can think of in recent years are the clones, and they all seem pretty damned good (though Ganch looks a little "off" to me). I guess to get a better idea, you could look to the GI Joe line?

Old Ben is freakin awesome, such a good job was done on that. The Clones are great too.

This Obi is a real test for them, the time has come for SSC to step them up closer to HT, facts are facts.

The GI-Joe figures have been consistently well painted for the past few releases. Just holding out hope they give the same attention to this figure

Well my friend, this will be my first actual SSC figure for about 10 years (HT, Medicom and DCD yes, but SCC no, our last being things like HOLY GRAIL, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and EVIL ASH figures) so that does not really put me in much of a position to assist .

I would be happy to put up pictures when he arrives though...?

Well it just shows how bad Sideshows Star Wars sculpts and paint apps have been then, because Ben is the best out of all of them even before a repaint. It looks even better after a repaint and again shows how slack SSC's presentation is.

This new Obi is going to have to be awesome.
