If he painted Destro, then he wouldn't be chromed like the Viper. At least the proto wouldn't be. I think Nathan said they did mean to have the Viper chromed all along, but the chroming (vac metal) process isn't doable with the paints Nathan uses. So for the sake of all of the $%*@&ing and moaning the prototype will surely get, I hope Nathan didn't paint the head (zero offense to you though Nathan!) so we don't chicken little all over the place here

I definitely want a chromed Destro Head.I am just impatient to get him,especially after Sideshow knocked Zartan out of the ball park.Plus,with Sideshow mentioning Destro's reveal in QnA of his reveal late 2011/early 2012 (early 2012 probably means SDCC)

To be honest, at first I thought I had really missed out by not getting the exclusive version, but seeing how tan this head is, maybe I don't need it after all. Still a pretty radical figure though. As soon as I climb out of debt I'm ordering a Zartan.

He looks better on the Zartan body, so if you wanted to pick up a TTM19 to toss Zartan on and a Duke to swap over to this, you'd have an updated Duke to match their current quality vs. not having Duke at all.

He paints other things, not just head sculpts.

I have the dye ready.
That is probably the first thing I will do.
Will dye both hood and pants so i'm sure they will match.

Overall I really like Zartan, one of the best SS has done so far.
Pros:
1) Really good sculpt
2) Nice arms
3) The accessories seem solid and I LOVE the compound bow

Cons:
1) The eyes could use some color
2) His backpack dosn't like to close snugly
3) The slots on the bow for more arrows is a little too tight

I think I may have messed up, I tryed to find the ex zartan on the sideshow website and can't even find it, not even on waitlist or sold out or anything did they remove him completely or I'm I just missing something I really want to pick him up but not without the ex head

They moved the EX to "archived products" while they try to clear their remaining stock of Regulars. More EX's are bound to show up as people use the opportunity of these first 30 days to send him back. Not that there'll be many returns, but a few of them being returned is inevitable.

I'm thinking we'll see a Flint as Cobra Trooper disguise pop up at some point as a convention or domestic exclusive. Give people the chance to update their Flints and those who missed out on the Cobra Trooper, a chance at another one. Plus it gives Sideshow an excuse to avoid the dreaded reproduction of existing figures.

However they can do it, but that's a great idea. Sideshow is starting to turn another corner with these headsculpts.

Let's just hope they utilize the idea. It's perfect for a con exclusive and won't disappoint us collectors as it allows us to update our current figs to match the increased quality of the new releases and army build without having to swallow a full re-release.

Thanks, weird that they put it there when it just came out. I'm not keen on the idea that they would sell returned items though maybe i'll pick up a regular in a week or two. I've spend way to much this month as it is.
