Thanks, weird that they put it there when it just came out. I'm not keen on the idea that they would sell returned items though:( maybe i'll pick up a regular in a week or two. I've spend way to much this month as it is.

They also set aside some figures to use as replacements. So if nobody sends stuff in to be replaced, those're essentially new figures waiting for a home. :huh

Obviously, it's Flint V2 with the new muscle armed body, better paint work, a more card accurate sculpt, cartoon colored shirt, flocked beret, the 2nd belt, and card-accurate camo pattern on the pants. :yess:

I don't think they will revisit a Flint figure BUT I can see them offering a new exclusive Flint head with a Cobra Trooper . . .

However they can do it, but that's a great idea. Sideshow is starting to turn another corner with these headsculpts.

Sculpts have never been a problem with Sideshow. Only poor paint aps with spots of greatness here and there. But the work done since Flint has been good to the recent greatness of paints on Viper, Hawk and Zartan/Duke.

Reported.

Whats with all the Flint hate?

I still think its one of the best sculpts. He looks like a supreme bad ass, ready to stomp your face in.

Paint did suck though.

But did you need a bunch of gear with him? Most of the gear that comes with these guys sits in the parts bin.

Paint apps and he was a little light on gear in relation to the other Joes. Eh. I like him.

Hush, amateur!

Yeah, out of the box I guess he was kinda weak. Now that I look at mine, he looks nothing like when I got him.

Sculpt is still good though :lecture

Boy, I am taking a beating here today.

I defer to the opinions and reporting prowess of EVILFACE and King Darkness.

For the record, I am an advocate for Flint. I happened to like him.

A few tweaks is all is needed.

Not a problem per say, but had room for improvement. Glad to see they are getting better, if nothing else but to keep up with the price hikes. I think we'll all be glad to see him ditch the Betty Boop wig.

I've been meaning to attempt to dye his bandolier thing since I got him, but haven't :( Apart from being toy/card accurate, it just makes the figure look classier. The tan looks kind of cheap.

I would like to upgrade him to one of the Zartan bodies if I catch on one ToyAnxiety (I know I won't find one, though).

You'll have to do some paint work to the head or body if you go that route. The Zartan body is pretty dark.

I wouldn't dye it. It seems pretty easy thing to make with a couple of pieces of od green webbing that you can find parted out everywhere and needle & thread. That's what I believe Evilface did on his Flint.

He used Duke's bandolier and a leg strap from the holster to make Flint's webbing. I dont think he even used needle and thread.
